Congrats Bud!! But I guess you are in the wrong thread. I don't want to ruin your thunder here but this is the Family Sponsorship thread specific to New Delhi Consulate. So how is the weather there? I heard it is snowing in April.

Does it matter? IP means no interview. And a delay means they are doing your background security check. As long as you have not been involved in criminal activities you are cool. On a serious note, IP to DM varied anywhere from 1 Week to 2 Months. But usually on the quicker side (like 90% of times).

Congratulations! ....could you please share ur timeline?...also is it common for NDVO to transfer some files to Chandigarh for processing?

From my understanding, NDVO forwards files to Chandigarh if the applicant lives near the area and thus would be closer for the applicant to visit Chandigarh as oppose to making a trip further to New Delhi. It would only make sense if that is the case.
