Ecas itself should act as the intimation and you have to present yourself for the interview. The lords sitting at the entrance at NDVO demands an official letter you talk to the concerned officer and explain the non receipt. You may see someone's interview letter and know the procedure. Why they dont send the letter of request is the basic question.
Please write to NDVO case specific enquiry quoting the ECAS that interview is scheduled on May 6, 2014 and you are attending the interview on that specifed date. Also ask about the interpreters.

Thanks sunsweet for your response. My lawyer had already sent two emails to NDVO about this issue. Good to know in worst case, I can use a copy of my ecas printout and get the gatekeeper to let me in. As for interpreters, I saw someone's copy of interview letter. There it is mentioned that a list of authorized interpreters attached for people who need interpreters other than hindi or punjabi. Unfortunately, they sent him interview letter without attachment. If someone who is reading this post had used interpreters other than hindi or punjabi for their interview can respond to my post or send me particulars about the authorized company, I really appreciate it. Hopefully those NDVO jerks would respond within a week or two and send a copy of official notification.

My lawyer has not received official interview notification from NDVO but from ECAS I know that the interview is on May 6, 2014. We have written two emails to them but so far no response. What should I do? My lawyer says I should go for interview even if I don't get official notification before May 6th and show ecas printout that interview has been scheduled but no official notification has been received. Second challenge I am having is I have asked for Tamil interpreter but since there is no official notification I have no knowledge of where I can find these authorized interpreters. Has anyone of you gone for interview using authorized Tamil interpreters? if so please contact me. Concerned about not receiving notification and not able to get through NDVO. I am feeling helpless and frustrated. This is causing lot of friction and fights between me and my significant other.
