just check this morning..the status changed to "in process" :) immigration started to process on April 2nd
but my husband is still waiting for ppr ???

Hello Buddy\
Congrats for the update but I am still wondering why you have not submitted your passport to NDVO. usually they ask for passport within 1-2 months as soon as your file gets transferred to NDVO.

I would say Send your passports along with a letter o avoid further delays

hi friends.. cic published its latest data sheet,
Permanent Resident Visa Applications Received Abroad
according to this , below is the details of spouse applications received each month by NDVO,
month, 2013 TOTAL spouse applications received , total PR app- all category , quebec applications

may 656 1997 23
june 615 1034 18
july 507 603 19
aug 409 422 11
sep 109 120 4

aug sep applicants can expect a speedy processing i guess, data available only upto sep 2013

These number looks nice and as per current trend NDVO has done a great job in processing july applications, more than 70% july applications within a week.

if they show the same pace for aug and I believe septemeber application would be creme for NDVO

Hope for the best, Fingers crossed

But is it a MP ( Member of Parliament) or MPP (Member of Provincial Parliament) inquiry?

We only have MP's (member of parliament's) here in Alberta, no MPP's here

Hello All forum members,

In form IMM 5669 Background/declaration,
how shud i answer question no. 5 Mothers details
My mother in law uses her surname - family name thats the same as my father in law.....Both have same surname in their passports my spousal's paternal surname
But In form asks for MOTHER'S FAMILY NAME "AT BIRTH" ....she have not used any family name from parents.....
after her marriage she used father in laws family name

plz help....

thanks in advance..

Hi elegant.heena,

With regards to your mother-inlaws last name. You have to find out what her last name was before she got married. If your mother-inlaw never used a surname in any official document prior to her marriage. Than you might want to get an affidavit made inwhich your mother-inlaw prior to her marriage, was always known as this person, without a surname and had no other alias name.
