If you are a PR, you must reside in Canada in order to sponsor your spouse. You can chance short vacations (remember that a Canadian vacation is generally no longer than 2 weeks) but if immigration finds out that you are not in Canada, you risk getting your application refused.

File submitted on :1st may
File received confirmation : 30th May 2013
File moved to Delhi Office 30th July 2013
Got letter to submit Passport on 4th Sept. 2013
Submitted passport : 7th Sept 2013

Medical and police clearance submitted along with file on 1st may

My medical expired on 21st march 2014
My Police clearance expired on 25th March 2014... as ppl says both have one year validity.
My passport expired 31st march 2014

passports is in Delhi consulate since 7th Sept. 2014
Up till now didn't received any news or any updates as on now 4th April 2014
CAN ANY BODY GUIDE WHAT TO DO NOW AS THEY ARE NOT RESPONDING ........

It is a surprise how you missed to note when submitting the passport which is less than six month validity. You should have renewed it as you can renew the passport due to expire within a year and sent the passport with a longer validity.
Now you send a mail to the NDVO giving your reference and ask them to send the passport for its renewal. On receipt of the passport get it renewed under tatkal scheme which is faster.
For remedical you may do when asked by NDVO.

We can't do much if they are not responding. We can only wait...

When you send them an email write urgent in the subject line. It is written on their website. So if you write "URGENT" and send them email explaining them that your passport has expired and you need the passport back so that you can renew the passport and you will submit the renewed passport back to them. I believe for sure you will receive a reply or a phone call to come and collect the passport.

Hello Guys,

I called the MP yesterday regarding my visit to India in June since I am a PR. I told her that I might stay about a month or so and she said that there might not be any problem. The immigration is looking if my intention is to come back to Canada or not. So I said that i have my permanent job here and my employer is willing to give me a vacation for month. She said that as long as I can prove that my intention is come back to canada that is fine. Infact she said that it is good that i am planning visit since it proves that we are in a genuine relationship.

All the best for everyone for speedy visa . the waiting period is painful.

being a PR you have to go back to meet PR requirements (unless you have already met the requirements..then again you would have to renew PR card and have to meet requirements again) so I don't understand the need to prove intention to go back..for citizen it is a different case since they can reside in other countries permanently....my lawyer said there is no requirement to go back once I got my sponsorship approved....

can someone please tell me if I have used representative to apply for my spouse , and the gcms notes were ordered by me will the rep get them or I will ? I have my email address in there.

you will get a copy of electronic version (if that's what you had ordered) but if you are inquiring NDVO then they respond to your representative not you..

dont be...I heard that April they usually work fast to clear up all the bag logs. i am pretty sure that we see lot of people getting visas next couple of months..you might hear good news sooon
