one more month to go and my medicals will expire...NDVO should have informed me if there is an interview since they usually give a month's time to get ready for interview...so far nothing....at this stage, I have no idea if I would get a passport request or not; if there will be an interview or not; anything will be done or not before my medicals expire; I hope I will get some answers soon otherwise this suspense can't go on for many more months..next month I will get my notes and hope it will give some answers.

You must be so frustrated with NDVO... Can't understand why they seem to be ignoring your application. I don't think you will get an interview because you are living with your wife right now which shows genuine relationship. Hope your GCMS will give further answers.

my frnd was feb 2013 applicant and got visa in july, just 5months it took to complete the process. her husband (sponsor) was a quebec resident..how is this fast processing possble? or is there any special timeline or visa officer responsible to process quebec applicants file..? any idea

Maybe his case was straight forward? As far as I know, there is no difference in NDVO where you have applied from as all applications go to CIC-M.

NDVO will contact you with further details. We can only guess about the decision and hope it is good news.
You had the interview on Feb 12 and got direct DM. The interviewer was rude (as they always are) but returned the passport which is normal for Chandigarh.

Had you applied for GCMS before your interview? Were all the checks done?

PP req : 10th August'13
Med's done: 20th Nov'12 (expired)
Status changed to IP : 20th Aug'13

there is one more person in this forum whose situation is similar to yours..he/she applied in feb and still waiting....check desi-girl's spreadsheet...do you have a long travel history or stayed in one or more countries more than 6 months? then background checks might take longer...

I sent about 15 hard copies and then printed out about 35 on publications with explanations....now they want Original copies of photos!

Going to send close to 200 now

so by sending 200 pics, you are going to make them feel sorry that they asked you for more photos...lol

thanks desi-girl..whether there is interview or not, whether they want to give visa or deny, I just want the process to be transparent - why the delay in processing my file? why they haven't asked for passport? if I know how long it will take to get some answer, I can plan accordingly. I can't be in India indefinitely as it affects my PR status...

My ecas status still shows "application received" and there is no medical received confirmation on ecas although my wife submitted it with the initial application. Is your ecas status shows "in process" ? I dont know what's going on with my application.

Don't worry they are working on mid-june, yours will be in process soon.

I think your friend was lucky, I don't think they do faster process on Quebec residency...

NDVO has started working on June applications (very few applicants got their status changed) so you should hear something from them between now and end of March..don't worry about medicals they will extend your expiry date..ecas not showing medicals received is normal...if you don't hear from them by first week of or mid march then apply for notes it will show if they have received your medical results or not...
