As the Canadian Privacy Act prevents the release of personal information to unauthorized individuals, we cannot reply to case-specific enquiries without the signed authorization of the person to whom the file pertains. Even sponsors of persons who applied under the Family Class must have the written authorization of the applicant before our office can release information to them from their family member's file. Currently, there is no such authorization in your name. Therefore, we cannot provide any personal information to you.
I think they are not doing anything that's why they don't want to tell anything

I sent 4 inquires from sponsored email address and 3 from sponsor email address. Sponsored emails got answered and no acknowledgement of whatsoever for sponsor emails. Of the 2 that sponsored response to sponsored email, one said 'your file waiting for review' and other one said ' we cannot release information to you.... only to your authorized representative' ...go figure...

Man so many interview calls with no apparant reason. Once they go into full swing with June can we assume all remain May applicants are infact queued for interviews?

according to my lawyer, Asian visa offices do quality check to prevent fraud just to check if the application data entered matches with information provided by the applicant...

I have a question, when we send passport to ndvo for visa. Do we have to send old cancelled passport too ??
We got last name changed for my wife after marriage. So they issued her new passport and cancelled the old one. But we only submitted new passport.

Doesn't matter what you have to send all the old passport u have.

These lawyers will say anything to keep the customers from bothering them too much. My feeling is almost all data is entered in the computer system by CPC-M. So pulling applicants randomly for interviews seems far fetched and no where else in Canadian immigration system or their operational bulletins did we hear about this.

Yes, you have to submit all your old passports. Maybe you can wait and see if NDVO asks for the old passports.

Hey quick question.. im kind of freaking out... I dont remeber the status of my husbands sponsorship saying this before so im worried. It says appication received which is fine but when i click on it for details it says "we received null lobzangs application for permenant residence on dec 4...
Whats with the null??? does this mean its no longer valid? im confused... HELP

Use your PPR letter and send them the old passport asap with a cover letter stating the mistake. It would help greatly. They want to check if there is any travel on the old passport.

Do it asap and don't wait for your NDVO. The letter clearly asks for all passports old and new and this number should match what you would have put on the additional Delhi specific travel form.

Well, they forgot to put your first name in the database and it is showing as null. When you order GCMS and if the name is fine there, you have nothing to worry.

try page 10 under medical.....after these items (family name , given name, type, status, validity date; status updated by; status updated date; assigned by; assigned date etc) on the next page (page 11) there is valid until....that is the expiry date
