Your sponsor must be available for a possible phone interview at the same time that your interview is being held in Delhi (your sponsor should verify the local time in his/her province of residence in Canada which corresponds to the Indian Standard Time which has been scheduled for your interview). The Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi provides interpretation services for Hindi and Punjabi only. Family class applicants who require an interpreter for another language must engage the services of a qualified professional interpreter from an approved list of interpretation companies. This approved list of interpretation companies is attached to this letter. Should the applicant come to interview without one of these interpreters, the interview will be rescheduled, leading to processing delays. Interpreters other than from the firms on the approved list will not be accepted.
Please note that the figures quoted by the interpretation companies are not negotiable. Further, the companies have no connection to the High Commission and cannot assist you in any way to improve your chances of obtaining a visa. Should you call at any other time, the companies will refuse to take your calls.

No, there should not be any effect. NDVO takes a while to reply to your emails so they might take a look at your file once a month or every other month.

Hi Guys,

Do I have to change the indian address on the e-cas now? Because my husband is in India and he is mailing the passports. On the ecas I have my Canadian address still. I am bit worried if NDVO would send the passports to canada instead of my husband who is in India. Thank you guys :)
You don't need to worry about it. NDVO will call your husband on the phone number he provided and confirm Indian address before they send the passport back to him :D

I am August applicant and getting a bit worried now because

1. My wife is 8 months older than me (as per passport/birth certificate). My DOB was changed when I was kid, don't ask why :-[
2. After marriage we did not get the name change done for my wife (to avoid delay in immigration)
3. Instead of sending photocopy of birth certificate, I sent a copy of birth Certificate taken from phone camera :'(
(I forget to carry photocopy/original while coming back to canada)
4. We did not have reception, I am planning to do it in canada after my wife arrives

Does anyone know if this can cause any issue/delay in our file?

While, I believe we have provided more than enough proof which includes (bio-data shared between parents, emails, birthday ecard, phone calls, bbm/facebook complete chat history, fb pictures, invitation card of DJ and marriage, boarding pass and tickets, bills during time of engagement/marriage, bill from first night at taj, honeymoon bill n boarding passes, travel tickets to temple in small village, around 200 pics which includes pics from engagement, dj, marriage, honeymoon)
There does not seem like a lot of red flags so I doubt that you will be called for an interview. But you can never predict what NDVO is thinking and may still decide on an interview just for the fun of it.

when u r checking e-cas which client id you are entering your client-id or your husbands client-id . coz ur client id displays your canadian address where as ur husbands client id displays indian address. if both are displaying same canadian address then mail to delhi-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca with sub change of Address and send them. It will change on e-cas after 25 to 30 days. you can also refer to present address u filled in family information form,

Thanks waiting 2 exhale. I am saving my OMGs for when I get IP, then DM and then the ultra-shiny visa in my hand :D. I try to keep tabs on NDVO's good news to keep up the positivism that work is being done by NDVO and our applications are being processed. And also, it is nice to be organized with lists, to know where we stand and what we should be expecting in the near future :D

congratulations gurl :p how does it feel to become a champion member... ;D very well written and all the best for your application wishing loads of good luck :-*
Thanks Myrah dear :D. It feels nice to be a Champion member and it is nicer to know that I am a larger part of the forum in making positive differences by helping (or trying to help) everyone who have questions and trying my best to keep up the spirit.

All of your responses made my day. I was not able to mention each and everyone who has made a large contribution to the forum in my speech (sorry about that, but there are too many of you to list who have given me lots of positive energy when I was feeling down or otherwise). Thank you once again ;D ;D ;D

I have recently applied. I dont think the 8 months age gap should matter. My wife is almost 15 months older to me. Looking at the proof you have given, it is pretty solid. Reception is a formality. Dont worry about it so much. Although we spent about 3 months adding my name on my wife's passport, when I look back now, I wish I had applied earlier. So dont bother about the passport name change issue.

Alhamdulillah, Praise the Lord, May you get an IP as soon as God will's.

I sent case specific inquiry regarding my passport request 4 times and I got responses within 15 days 2 times. Sending numerous times does not have any impact as far as I know. I don't think NDVO is vindictive it is just that they are incompetent. And I wish they blacklist me so that they will at least see who is this character who is bothering us so much then they will realize that nothing has been started vis a vis my file. And that might have prompted them to take action to open the file.
