do they inform interview date or recommended via ecas (if I don't order notes, how will i know if I got an interview recommended or not?) or email? there was one person in 2012 forum I believe who found out about interview date through ecas

now that you are in Canada, complain to your MP or immigration minister about the whole process...if every person who lands in Canada complains they might do something about NDVO..

Hello Buddy

I agree with you. but it would be very unfair as NDVO is still one of the fastest Visa Offices across the globe. it was just that stupid 6 months strike which took everything off track and system was disturbed badly and visas are getting delayed. and NDVO is one of the hard working VO as they work on weekends too....

Look at other country if we are living in pakistan or bagladesh those guys have minimum waiting time for 4 years...

One more thing, It was a pattern for my ecas change... Each time they updated my ecas after I applied for notes.. Even though from my notes I can see they were working on my file from diff dates ... So for me, applying for notes was helpful- to see change in ecas

in which case those who land in Canada, tell your MP that given the circumstances and environment which NDVO people work, they are doing a good job...the point is criticism or praise regarding NDVO need to be conveyed to MPs so that they know how Canadian visa offices around the world work... I look at some of the 2012 applicants who had to wait for 1.5 years and not being told about the progress of their files is unfair...even if they are complicated cases ,there should be transparency....

good to know that they update ecas in case of interview...also good to know that you saw changes whenever you applied for notes...mine has been the same even after three notes....only if there was a way to let the ecas updaters to wake up and update my ecas? notes is to see the progress of my file ..they should introduce another system (like a mild shock when their hands slip from their face when they sleep at their desk and touch the computer keyboard) where I apply for something and that wakes up ecas updaters...I have my $5 ready for that system...lol

I agreed with you buddy that there should be transparency but NDVO stands at number 2 after Manilla VO in terms of processing and I can understand that there are still pending cases. And if they have already crossed the provided time frame the applicant has right to appeal.

I think thy should issue a temporary visa for spouses only for like two years and thn later apply for PR. The only thing which is disturbing us is the distance....its nt thr stupid PR we r dying for....
