Yay!! Finally, you are in Canada!! And a warm welcome back to the forum. Going through the customs does seem like a really smooth process. Were you charged extra for the third piece of luggage when you were checking in at the airport in India? Meghna also said that they didn't check what she was carrying so I am wondering if it is okay to bring anything? Did you also get your SIN number at the airport too?

Guys help me on this!! I wrote an email to NDVO stating that my file is in the embassy since 10 months and my life is all shattered. .it was a very senti email..to which they have replied the followingDear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.

Please note that we have received satisfactory medical results valid until 20Dec14. Currently the file is awaiting review by a visa officer to determine whether all statutory requirements have been met or not. Following which, the next steps will be determined and communicated to you.

We trust that this information will be of assistance.

Just to let you all know that..I was diagnosed with tuberculosis and my final reports were submitted on 18th December and MR on 24th December 2013.

Please tell me what this reply means!!!

Sorry for late reply guys... My wife got her passport back with her visa on 23rd January with a validity till 24 feb . My file was in process since jan 17 nd. We got call from ndvo confirming our address on 20 jan .... Thnk god nd gud luck to everyone ...

I too had written a mail to thm nd i too got same reply abut the file awaiting review. This was in december.

I think thy r sayin tht ur medical results are accepted nd are valid till dec 2014.
U r feb applicant....wht is ndvo doin? Did u do mp enquiry.

This is so frustrating!!! I got all excited after this email... was your reply exactly the same??? What did your MP tell you?
