Hi There,

We have applied for Spousal Visa. Our Application was received on June,2013. My passport was sent in September,13 to Delhi High Commission. I have to travel in the month of April,2014. Can anyone help me how much time will it take to get my passport back? I was told 4-7 months then someone said 10 mnths but am not sure the 4 to 7 or 10 is from the date passport has been sent. And does it take this long?
Please help me. The website only says Decision Made and Application Received.

What date did you apply in june? First week or? If so you will hear good news soon without any problem. When is your medical.going to expire? All the best for your visa soon.

An update from me:
I received my GCMS 2 days back....Eligibility and medical is passed...Security and criminality not started. Interview waived and notes says relationship is genuine. Location of file: FCU-RFV. IP since 14th dec, 2013.
Did MP enquiry and got a reply that background checks are pending and there is no time limit for that. They asked us to do an enquiry in april after 3 months if its not done until then.
Don't know how long is it going to take now???? :'( :'(

Your gcms notes are good but it might take sometimes to get everything done. Dont worry you will get dm soon before your medicals expire. Wish you a speedy dm and visa!

Deepak, dont worry. She will come back on this forum soon but she just came here recently and shes pretty busy with stuff and shopping. Also its her first wedding anniversary on monday. She must be busy with her hubby as well. Be happy! We all are here and help to each other too. Myrah wont forget us and she will be back soon.

My MP Just emailed me today that my wife's Visa is in queue for Printing but my Status still says Inprocess. Hope it changes to DM soon. 8)

Hi all, found this group and i falls under the 2013 application category.

For my case,
- completed the medical for my wife and daughter on August 2013.
- sent the passport in the month of oct2013 and still waiting to hear back.

Any idea or suggestion when they would return back the passport with stamping/

Welcome.to the forum.
Whats your full timeline please? Thanks. They have started on June applicants since a month ago. Its pretty slow goin on June too. Hopefully they will start on July applicants next month or early March so hopefully. You will hear the result when NDVO starts working on October or before your medicals expire. Hope you get the visa soon without any delay. Wish you all the best for the processing. God bless!

Yess you will be next for suree. Only one person got pp back with the visa today. Sigh* Hopefully NDVO give us great news this weekend. Finger crossed.

I got email back from ottawa that they have entered my medical results into system.... But they extended it till 21 march.... but I hope I get visa soon ...

hey guys reached safe and sound.. ..immigration process was just 5 mins for me..........no issues no problem.....and everyone just smiled and welcomed ............OMGGGGGGGG its so cold.....
just one thing when u get the visa and the landing papers with that...whatever address is on that paper .........that's the same address where your pr card is mailed........by chance if that's not your address they provide u with a paper with the process to chg the address to send the pr card...either u fax them or call them and confirm the new address........... ;D that's all coz my papers had his old address ....... 8)

on flight they give u the declaration form where u fill up your name address bday etc .....if u have anything to declare go for immigration they stamp and send u to the other room where the officer takes the second landing paper with your pic stamps the 1st paper and gives u back and its done its the most simple process and I thought it wld be complicated no one asked how much cash how much jewellery all they asked was any goods to follow that's all ;D I had 3 very heavy bags so took the porter to carry my bags cost me 10$ gave him extra 10$ tip.........

Were you charged extra for the third piece of luggage when you were checking in at the airport in India? Meghna also said that they didn't check what she was carrying so I am wondering if it is okay to bring anything? Did you also get your SIN number at the airport too?
