So basically I am typical sponsor. Whom they ask for papers in February 2012 and after few months they sent my file to New Delhi
Now I checked my status. It's says in process. And there is new line says processing started nov 29 2013
Now my question is how long it takes to get mail where they want medical and if there is any additional info they request.
I applied for my parents and sister who is still staying in June 2008

Hi,

I am in the same boat. So I got an email saying that my file has been received and in that they give me UCI number and file number. I received this email on 12/24/2013 which mean that is my step 1 cleared? I am confused. How long will it take file transfer to NDVO ?

The acknowledgement of the file received and the file number is the approval

That is your AOR (Acknowledgement of Receipt) email. Soon after that (if it has been already been close to 4 weeks that you sent the app), you would receive another email stating that your sponsorship has been approved and the file is transferred to NDVO.

You know the funny thing about ecas is, I was seeing that In-Process for so long, the mind used to read that line all the time - so this morning, with my one eye open ( the 1st thing b4 doing anything is to check ECAS and then go to the bathroom )
So I opened the site, click my roboform toolbar to autofill and yet again see IN-PROCESS but I always click on it to see any change in comments. So nothing happened, and I went to wash my face and while brushing, I got this image that I read a decision has been made, we sent letter...I paused for like 2 secs and then realized, why would IN_PROCESS have words like decision made, I ran back to the PC and with my EYES WIDE OPEN, and the toothpaste dripping, I see Decision Made. I was shouting but no one could understand me, this was 6:30 in the morning, I really felt like slipping some brandy in my coffee but will buy a nice champagne buttle for this evening

Ya, coz all we know is IP, DM - just make sure you don't go around shouting "Mera DM ho gaya, Mera DM ho gaya", some might says "iska DIMMAG Kharab ho gaya "

I always imagined what would be it be when I see DM - my friend in Indian calling me that PP has arrived, the setting? the program on TV running that etc.

But ultimately it had be near a dripping toothpaste

Hi congrats. My also shows DM today but its show Indian address how about you.your is address changed or not. Pls reply me


IT'S DM!!! I checked in the morning around 9:30AM Indian time however it was IP. Then this evening at 6:15PM the status changed to DM.

I did not receive any call for address nor my Indian address has changed to Canadian yet.

When did you go for your interview??
Did they ask you to do re medical?? How long did it take for them to send you an email for re medical?? Didthey gave u yorur passport after the interview???

After the inteview how long did it take until DM???
