they ask for divorce petition/application coz it has details of children if u had from your previous marriage....its just to confirm that....if all is ok with the petition and the main application u have sent at Mississauga (they cross check).....then 80% no interview.... basically ADR saves u from having an interview if everything seems correct according to them....the only dis-advantage is that your file does get delayed if they give u 30 days or 60 days your file will be looked only after that date is over can they write the due date after the time limit is over and if u refuse to sent the document on time then definitely its an interview !!

Wasn't there one 2012 case that got application rejected when the NDVO misplaced the documents sent by the applicant after ADR? I remember that NDVO had sent an ADR and the applicant sent back the documents within 30 days but NDVO misplaced it or didn't see it and rejected the applicants saying that the documents requested were not sent. They found the documents after applicant appealed with proof that documents were sent. They didn't schedule an interview before the rejection. But then who knows how NDVO works.

And yes Mahi_Milaa_De, I have not come across anyone who went through interview and had ADR in 2013 but there are a few 2012 (as per their spreadsheet) who had both. So yes it is possible, sometimes getting interview first then ADR. Again, like Myrah said, there should be no discrepancy in the application and the petition to avoid the interview.

What!! Now that's silly! Why would they want husband's sister's DOB? I think NDVO is losing a few screws ???

when they join ND visa office their job prerequisite is not to have screws at all..so to begin with they joined without their screws on their head....I am glad they didn't ask for grandma's wedding certificate....

I guess to qualify for a clean visa process you have to get married with someone who is of same age as you are; don't get divorced; don't be of different religion; get your family to show up for wedding even if it is love marriage and parents are dead set against it

I bet your file will still get delayed at ndvo :P :P :P

Yup, Because they will wonder "how in the world was it possible to have such a perfect wedding and relationship?" And most likely fall asleep again :P :P :P

It means additional documents required. :)

if I do it I am damned (perfect wedding) and if I don't do it (divorced with children) I am damned too in NDVO's minds...of course in their dreams (while sleeping in their office) they have perfect weddings; bollywood songs about love

just give it an abbreviation like adr, we'll call it "at" :P

It means they won't touch the file for 1 month????

According to my wife's aunt (who is an immigration consultant), once they ask for additional documents, it means that as long as the information is consistent with the rest of the application, they should issue the visa within the time they have given you to submit them plus 2 months i.e. 3 months if they give you 30 days to submit the docs or 4 months if they give you 60 days to submit. Also it normally means that there is no other issue with your file as they would have asked for other docs if there was. Just got be to be patient with these people.

Me.. Throw you out? Nah.. Don't want to have all the others to hunt me down :P because you are an important part of this forum as the rest of us are. Who's going to help with the NDVO jokes if you aren't there?

I just help kick people out ;) ... And eventually will do the same to you, of course, once you get your PR in hand! 8)
