time has been increased to 13 or 14 months I believe...14 months is the maximum time limit (not carved in stone so there have been cases where people waited for 18 months..those were complicated cases) they give this time limit so that when you ask your MP or NDVO what happened to your application they can give you the standard response 'your file is within processing time limit...so wait' most applicant get their visa in 8 to 10 months time but if you are super lucky then you might get it in 6 months after the file transfer

has any one who applied this year got it in 6 months or not?

Hey Guys what type of visa they issue ? Does it show Permanent Residency visa or something else?
and those have got their visas , i am just curious to know, for how long it was valid ?

conditional visa for 2 years..then it is made into permanent visa ...i don't think you have to renew after two years it is automatically renewed..let others confirm my last sentence

there was one case in this forum..he disappeared couldn't handle the spotlight....there might be others who applied to NDVO but not in this forum

Hey people.. my wife happened to meet a guy in Canada who works in the Immigration Department while she was hunting for an apartment. This meeting was an eye opener for us because he says there are a lot of ‘marriages of convenience’, particularly with regards to applicants from India. It seems they detected nearly 50 such cases in the past two months, and even deported a few of them!! They were able to detect one such case when they found the same groom’s pictures in two applications, but with different brides!!!
Perhaps this could be reason that the CIC is being extremely cautious; however the downside is that a few genuine cases like ours have to bear the brunt of such fraudster’s actions.

Time didnt increase at all. Its the same time frame. But i would it depends on case to case. If immigration doesnt find any thing fishy in the case , then i think it would take maximum 6 months, Finger crossed......i think asking them again and again its not a good idea. Bcz they are working on their butts off....
Just be patience .........

Thats why CIC is extremely cautious and they try to find the loop whole in the case. There were many cases in the past in which they found the same groom's and bride's too, These people maculated, thats why genuine cases are having tough time. But Good luck to all.

Yes ma'am.....we have to make it interesting once in a while right.... :)
Yes we do have to make things interesting :D. I am totally for it...or we would go crazy from boredom and the unpredictability of the NDVO. But we have to make sure it doesn't go too far and out of control where fun turns into anger and biting remarks at each other.

:o :o So it was you!... :D lol....
Come on, it was my attempt at making a joke (especially the last line.. And I am sure I don't have to complete that. And it made me laugh so hard) and you say you are depressed! I think we need to cheer you up. Want to borrow my dart board? We can ask the NDVO for you PPR really nicely.

And thanks for restarting the trolley fight, I was able to make a joke that made me cheer up just imagining the NDVO visa officers if I said this to their faces :P :P
