Guys do u think all of us waiting from oct/Nov will get our DM before Christmas or new year at least?

some people got it within 3 weeks and some people are still waiting for three months (there was one waiting since July) ..so it is difficult to say if you will get it before christmas or new year...best approach dealing with NDVO is not to have any expectations at all (I know it is hard)

I think it is just an acknowledgement of receipt of your application (AOR- Acknowledgement Of Receipt);next step will be transfer of file to New Delhi and at that stage your sponsorship is approved; then wait begins - watch the forum; check ecas every hour; if passport request not done then apply for notes; worrying when status will change; use four letter words to describe ND visa officers since you are loosing your patience...

Hmm!! I guess you are right. Once the application is forwarded to CHC-ND, than I will receive a letter from CIC-Mississauga for sponsorship approval. Until than!! fingers are crossed

Oh, US and its quick dependent visa man. It is hurting us too. Although the spouse cant work, cant go to school or no medicare.

yeah at least the spouse is with you and saves a lot of headache especially the rishtedars who will be pointing guns at the boy or girl if the spouse does not go soon enough.....that's the thing I don't like the risthedars will be more bothered about others than mind their own business....they are the same category as NDVO I would say

hello guys any idea how much more time for july applicants....it seems like f***n NDVO is going to take this whole month to process may applicants (2 months in total to process may applications)......i can not tell my wife, next month baby next month, anymore.....this wait is really straining our relationship....our 1st aniv. is in march hopefully it comes before that... :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

I'm stuck in this same exact situation, July applicant as well. I keep telling her "next month", "soon now", "anytime now", and it's really taking a toll on our relationship. She doesn't want to hear this "next month", "soon", anymore, don't know what to do, and I am tired of telling this to her as well. I am tired of giving her false hope.

Guys - being part of the 2012 batch and it really sad that I can still relate to what you guys are saying. NDVO is still "working" on my/our application...

Anyways, I wanted to bring your attention to the silver lining in this dark cloud of waiting to be reunited with your loved one/SO...

You guys are supporting each, consoling each other and strengthening your relationship in this time apart - this experience is bringing you closer and helping you bind together to be able to face potential difficulties in your future lives. (Again - this is not in any way justifying the ridiculous snail pace processing at NDVO or the lack of support/response from VO towards applicants, etc.)

Hang in there folks, the wait will be over soon...

I sponsored my wife who is living in India, on checking the application status: shows that the application was received on may 29th. And the medicals are received.

How long should it be before she gets the passport request? She hasn't gotten it so far, and the application has not changed status to in process yet?

hi mo2000 welcome to the forum....... u have definitely missed the passport request from ndvo.......have u applied for gcms notes? if not u shld apply asap to see if u have missed the ppr or u can also contact your mp in canada.....right now may applicants are being processed so u shld be hearing from them in December itself .....

Thanks Myrah7, I'm going to try and apply for gcms notes. And how do i find out who the mp i should contact? Should I bother contacting the ndvo on this matter?

Once u find your MP u can call them and book an appointment to meet her/him or do it on the phone itself....they will guide u with the process and what forms u have to fill and sign

Well said! There is always a silver lining... It's just that some people find it faster than others. But the point is that everyone finds it eventually
We just have to be patient.

Date I received a letter indicating that I was approved as sponsor and file has been transferred to New Delhi: June 24, 2013.

That is the last my wife or I have heard from them.
