Once u find your MP u can call them and book an appointment to meet her/him or do it on the phone itself....they will guide u with the process and what forms u have to fill and sign

contacting NDVO ...is useless they never reply its better u apply for notes or do mp... your mp will contact ndvo on your behalf direct and within a week u will get a reply....(again u need to have a good mp who is helpful otherwise they will tell u that processing time is 12 months so please come later the same generic reply)

So I just got back from the MP enquiry and this is what they said
I just received a response from CIC to our inquiry last week regarding the status of your wife’s file.

They have verified the file was received on April 18, 2013 at the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga, Ontario and, that eligibility was met and correspondence was sent to the sponsor by e-mail on May 15, 2013.

The file was transferred to the Canadian visa office in New Delhi, India, on May 24, 2013 and the processing time are approximately twelve (12) months.

We have confirmation from the visa office that the passport has been received and has been attached to the file.

The background checks have not yet begun.

We will keep your file opened and monitor it so that we can be sure your file is being processed in a timely manner. This email indicates the file will not be finished until May, 2014.

So they have not begun the background checks as well wonder what order these guys do it on? Why cant they finish all the steps before going to the next one...This is bloody ridiculous.....May 2014 ...probably will be seeing my wife wanting to divorce me!!!!

Myrah, you think it makes sense to order notes again, or should I just wait it out now? Been IP since Oct 26th and got Meds update couple of weeks ago.

I just contacted the mp's office, and they just gave the generic reply about coming to them in March if you haven't heard anything back from the New Delhi Visa Office. Apparently the minister cannot meet with constituents about specific cases because that would be a conflict of interest.

I guess GCMS notes it is then.

I m may 27th applicant nd my status is still app rec only. I know dat my husband have to go through the interview
Bcos of big age difference but how long v hv to w8 for. Why don't they schedule a date for interview nd give their decision. I m flying to India on dec 27th nd gonna stay for 8 weeks only bcos of if they call my hubby for interview nd
I want to be wid him dat tym. We know dat our relation is genuine nd we hv alt of proofs to prove out relationship like phone bills, Skype nd FB detail nd lots of pics, hotel bills, airline tickets for visiting him b4 marriage. What u guys think if those r enough for NDVO. Only thing m worried about dat in our wedding his parents were not in. Bcos they were not happy wid our marriage. Is this a big reason for them.

You can apply for GCMS notes to see if interview recommended and why. Notes take a month, so you should apply now. Also, if there is one - it won't be in December...more like May next year if u r lucky, or even later. They will email you the date a month or so before the interview date.

Not having parents at the wedding + age difference would probably lead to an interview request. My parents also didn't approve and we had a simple court marriage, although we showed 9 years of relationship proof. Still likely to be interviewed - my notes due this week might show the eligibility assessment details.

Myrah U are doing well but I really gets disappointed by seeing just 2-3 cases hanging out every month without any reason & update... What a poor system they got.

totally agree deep its very sad.........if u see 2012 forum some 22 applicants still struggling to get visa's .........really disappointing !!

wow .....if u actually see it take a week max from IP to DM ...but these guys are so damn slow.. it takes forever for some applicants.....hope we all hear good things this month!!

if you order one now, you are more likely to see 'nothing started' in categories such as background checks..for 6 months they don't touch the file...so wait until end of Jan to apply for notes

hi despro welcome to the forum..... currently they are processing may applicants ..... since u got your ppr and medicals updated u are ok ...u shld apply for notes once july applicants start getting their files processed since gcms notes take 30 days!! mp only if u need to thats if they skip your file and go to other dates in august...coz most of the mps give a very generic reply that u are under the 12 month processing time of ndvo !!

I am curious to know if all applicants with big age difference are all called for interviews....any applicant with big age difference who got visa approved without interview, please respond
