I was in similar situation when I had to send my passport. I am working in Canada and had got PPR back in March. I sent my passport through Canada Post and it reached NDVO.

I've sent by canada post 2 gifts to my husband in India, none reached him... I had taken a mailing with tracking number... Canada post told me (after it get lost) that they cannot track anything after leaving Canada, even we a tracking number... Maybe few people are lucky and it reached without issues... But in my opinion this is a too big gamble and too risky... But this is only my opinion.

Apparently all MPs are at the Parliament for session. So I called the office to get an appointment when MP is back, but no reply. Guess have to give them a visit personally, so much for paying taxes!

So true... Paying taxes not worth it :( tell him/her that you r loosing your votes :p

usually it is the lovely assistant who deals with constituents contacts CIC to get some answers...for me it was the lovely blondie of my MP who gave me undivided attention to listen to me and made me feel that I am the most important constituent. Two days later she told me over the phone that my file was within the processing time so chill for some time (not in such words but basically don't call me until Jan). But it is worth going back to the MP office just to look at that blue mesmerizing eyes of hers and the office furniture.

Actually if you send documents only there is a tie up with Canada Post with FedEx I think where the package will be a fedex and they take it over and documents can get there.....only thing is that it is pretty expensive but it tracks all the way down to the destination and it reaches in 5 or 6 business days....

next time you want to send a gift I would strongly suggest some online gifts which are based in India and sent locally like ferns and petals and other gift online stores....they have nice quality and are good

if all the husbands tell their wives (atleast half the truth in their stories) what really happens then all hell will break loose...every husband follows this mantra 'what happens in Las Vegas, stays in Las Vegas' like that what happens in Canada, stays in Canada..just kidding..I have won the most honest man in the world award and please check Guinness book of records to confirm it (and in dictionary the meaning for 'waiting 2 exhale' you see the explanation 'honest act' e.g. I went to the store, paid for my thing but by mistake more money and cashier did the 'waiting 2 exhale' returning $20 back.)

I live and work in USA on H1B visa. But as I am an Indian citizen I had to submit it to NDVO only for Canadian PR.

I am not eligible to apply in USA since I am not a permanent resident here.

I mentioned that many times on this forum to find out if there are similar members to share their xp.

Well now my lawyer says passports cannot be shipped to India.....

Never I knew this thing...

Wish Indian consulates in foriegn countries are allowed to do this Passport shipping thing.. But it isn't so..

Have been searching all over the net but there is no way out I guess other than

It has to be myself or by a friend.. Lets see

Hey Robin Panday...

I was in USA on H1B visa for last 3 yrs and before marriage and when I was in USA I tried to find out is there any way I can apply from USA but suggested solution is apply from India and that's a quicker one so after marriage I stayed in India and Applied PR.

So there is no any feasible solution you can apply from USA based on Work Permit.

Good luck with your application.
