in another thread, some one wrote this (purpose is not to expose this person or point out the mistakes or ridicule..not sure why this couple did what they did there has to be a very very compelling reason which I do not know)..just to alert forum members that unless there is very very compelling reason, please do not think about doing this...they sent his passport from Canada (probably with Indian address) to NDVO and now they are stuck..hopefully they could make it to the interview

Good Afternoon Everyone

My husband and I have received our request for an interview, for December 3, 2013 in New Delhi. He is from India and is here on a student visa but is now on a visitors visa through the process of our applying for PR in Canada.

I am not sure how my husband is supposed to fly from Vancouver to New Delhi when his passport is there (upon their request in May 2013)

Well NDVO are a bunch of fucking morons for even sending out this letter, they know the residential status of this person - atleast send the passport back or some sort of check/balance to ensure stupidity like this doesn't happen.

Who suffers in this situation? the Poor applicant. I know they shouldn't have done this but... come on man, NDVO is straight up fucked in the head.

I agree with your points...I still don't understand the logic behind asking for passport early in the process and holding it for 6 months...rest of the (saner) Canadian high commissions don't do that...

Friends, Is anyone in similar situation like me or who has knowledge about this please share the details....

I live and work in USA and my app is 'In Process' since Oct 25th... (no mention of medicals as yet)
My passport is still with me and so far neither my lawyer nor myself got any 2nd PPR from NDVO....
Just wanted to understand how the further steps happen in these cases...

Considering we receive the psprt rqst soon,
Would I be asked to send PPR thru my lawyer and they'll send it to India and get it back to their canadian office and then I get it back or how?

Apart from the whole delay due to international shipping of the PP and getting it back, would this be a case where there could be any other delays from IP to DM

emailed my sloth like lawyer a week back abt the same and no response yet

Appreciate any lil info on this :)

Well I hope ndvo is correct in this case according to original post applicant came on visit visa to canada so the resident status will be india only so it was with the applicant to mve back to india as soon the ppr was requestd
