My IP is since 18 September... and Passport was sent on 10th Oct. 50 days since IP and almost 30 since I sent the passport... Anyone in the same boat as me? i am frustrated by the wait and its going nowhere...

My file is IP since 27th August. N I sent my passport way back in March. Now, its more than 2 months since my file is in process. I am completely pissed off.

My wife received her passport today.

Visa was issued on October 31st. Status changed to decision made on November 4th.

She is flying on november 23rd..

A newbie here. Just submitted an application for my wife about a week back. I know its a long wait from now. I have braced myself up for this.

My questions:
1-When is the appropriate time to order CAIPS? After a month or so when the file is transferred to ND or when the status changes to IP?
2-When is the appropriate time to contact the MP? Only when timeline exceeds the standard time period or when we get impatient ;-)?
3-My wife worked in Canada for few years (thats how we met). So she already had her UCI, which I have mentioned in the application. I assume Mississauga will retain this UCI. If so will we get an AoR mail as well from Mississauga?
4-What is the quickest timeline you have seen? Hey no harm in keeping high hopes right? ;-D

congrats, you took the baby step now you have to wait until you become a teenager to get your visa...answers to your questions

1. I submitted my application in May file was transferred in June and I did my notes in Sept and Oct..my notes had irrelevant information of 28 pages and it all contained those golden words 'not started yet'..so I would suggest you wait for 4 months before you apply for 'notes' (unless your passport was not requested in couple of months..then you would want to order notes and see if your application got lost in the basement or attic)

2. contact your MP after 6 months unless you did not get your passport request (some MPs would repeat his master's (NDVO) voice saying you are within the time frame of 12 months so wait until your children grow up and they get married..some MPS dig in deep into the mysterious dungeons and dragons world of NDVO and find out the actual status of your application)

3. I did not get my AOR but my file was transferred to NDVO..some people get confirmation and some people don't ..not sure how your wife got UCI when she did not apply for immigration... hope you are not confusing with SIN...I think you will get a new UCI ...UCI and File number are used to check ecas system (stare at them every day actually because it is hypnotic..once you look at it, it will draw you back everyday..your spouse would still look lovely but you would start falling in love with ecas and long for it to say those lovely words 'in progress' and 'decision made' lot of times she gives silent treatment with 'application received')

4. quickest time..ha..those virus like questions one gets to ask when one joins this forum...quickest time depends on your stars alignment, ND visa officer's temperament, background checks etc..so far one got it in 6 months and many of the 2012 applicants still waiting for eternity...

good luck and start practicing meditation since visa process (and NDVOs) are known to increase peoples' blood pressure, hospitalization due to neurosis and lunatic inclination (if you seen people running around tearing their clothes in New Delhi it is because of this insane process)

btw as a rule to join this forum you have to submit your timeline so when you get confirmation from CIC, please let us know

We have authorised VFS to bring pp back to Nepal. Today i checked pp with tracking number n found this message. What does this mean? What does OC mean here?

Passport sent to OC Delhi OC for onward submission to Canadian High Commission, 7/8 SHANTIPATH, CHANKYAPURI, -, NEW DELHI, Pin:110021, Tel: on 07/11/2013.

Quick question guys,

I dont know when my wife will get her passport but when it does come and if she is not home but some other family member is home. Will the courier or mail service give the passport? What is the procedure?

PS since decision made. We have not received any emails from CIC, I dont even know if she is rejected or accepted. Just guessing so far.
