What does category FAM mean?

Hi everyone,
How was Diwali for everyone?
Congrats to all who received IPs, DMs and passports returned with the visas.

Sorry, I haven't been keeping track who the lucky ones are because I was away from computer access and got busy with Diwali over the weekend. I will update on the up-coming weekend, although things seem to have slowed down from the NDVO side.
It's too bad the processing times have increased to 12 months :( >:( :( :(
NDVO should hire more officers/ temp workers so that the processing can go faster.

It means family, because we are sponsoring or are being sponsored by our spouses.

you got away from the computer for few days and what a wonderful feeling it was, you have to admit it.....there was a movie 'poltergeist' where a short woman would tell little girl who is trapped inside a closet to stay away from the light (whereas in sequel or another horror movie, I don't remember where she would advise the same little girl to walk to the light..if I make a sequel my little girl in the movie would say 'hey little woman make up your mind and stop driving me crazy I would rather go to the poltergeist than listen to you') like that I advise you 'stay away from that shining monitor (instead of shiny visa) desi-girl'

Hi desi girl
Diwali was okay day. Glad to hear that you had a good time on diwali weekend. You are so sweet to say abt keeping track on lucky ppl. Maybe this week will be more good news. You should become like myrah after she gets kick out or you will be kicked out soon too. Hehe. Btw i hope more officers work faster for ppl who are waiting for longer (2012 and 2013). Amen. :)

Shame on CIC for keeping the families away for so long

I feel as my file is flagged for interview as all april applicants in good numbers are getting DM's.

This is sad because now jan nd feb who didn't hear anything for a long time are getting interviewed. So March and April applicants who haven't' heard anything will be getting interviewed after January... this is my gut feeling.

I don't think that it's true because my notes stated Interview Waiver and My E Cas still says APp recvd and Medical recvd. I think they are giving priorities to ppl who's medicals are going to expire in dec or jan.

Sanju when did you apply for your notes?

I got the most recent one on 23rd sept and I applied again on 24th sept. What abt u?

i am in the same boat as your's ...and its getting frustrating for me as i had told my in laws that it will take 3-4 months (as this was the normal processing time) but this strike messed up everything and i feel like a liar now..... :( feels like going back leaving everything behind
