Hi all,

I am new to this forum. My husband is Canadian Citizen and I am an Indian. We got married via Hindu tradition this july. Now we are planning to be together in Canada via Soponsorship process. We have fulfilled all the criteria and filled all the forms mentioned in CIC website and send the file via courier to Missesouga. Please let us know the time lines which will be taken in entire process?

Tanq,
Pooja

Hello Pooja,

Welcome to forum.

Process divide into 3 Parts.
1) Sponsor Approval - will take around 1 month
2) Passport Request - After Sponsor Approval usually take 1-2 months
3) PR status Application Received -> In Process -> Decision Made - Will take bases on case to case but you can count 6-8 months or may be more from the day your Application Process Start.

I hope it will clear you some idea about process.

Good Luck with your Application Process.

Thanks,
Kejal.

Hey thanks Kejal,

Does that mean it will take entirly one year ??? or 6-8 months is the total time required. I have attached all my docs medical, Police clearance with the file.

If u are lucky it will be between 6 to 8 months, otherwise.... only "NDVO" knows.

welcome to NDVO's game called 'lucky or unlucky' or another game 'guess how old I have become waiting for my visa?"...by NDVO's standard operating procedure (yes, they have SOP book for everything) they should have asked you to send your passport within one or two months after transferring your file to New Delhi. Since they have not, just like my case either they did not send your lawyer an email or the request is somewhere in la la land (between New Delhi and twilight zone). Ask your lawyer to check spam folder and any other folders that his/her email has. If nothing found, send in your 'notes'. As for renewing your wife's medical, wait until they ask. They are clearing 2012 (yes that is correct) applications and Jan-Mar 2013 applications and started doing some April applications. It is a matter of luck and I guess ND visa officer's mood. If your stars are aligned properly and visa officer's significant other treats him/her well then it is your day. For some applicants they have given few weeks to pack and go before the medicals expired and for some they were asked to redo their medicals.
Thank you for the feedback. But how do I go about sending the notes? Where do I get the notes from?

u r may 2013 applicant -- and medical about to expire -- btw medicals are valid for a year (juz in case u r not aware of it or u got it done in 2012??). Anyways for PPR i would suggest apply gcms notes its gonna take 1 month to get the notes and u for sure will find out tht u missed ppr mail somehow and thn can send pp along with ur gcms notes. Good luck.
Thank you for the feedback. :)

You can order the notes online. Here is the link you can learn how to order notes http://goo.gl/zl3UP. And this is the link to request GCMS notes https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip. Good luck!!
