I have applied for PR under spousal category in March'13. My file was received in NEw Delhi Office in April'13. and my passport was asked in May'13. Since then my passport is with them. My status in "application status" is IN PROGRESS.

Yesterday i was called for finger print scanning at the New Delhi Embassy. When i asked what was the reason for this i wasnt given any answer. I requested them to allow me to meet an official so that i can discuss my case file with him/her. I was denied.

Is fingerprint scanning a regular affair for the Embassy? How does it affect the processing of my file."]

that's weird never heard of a fingerprint scanning done before.....I guess its something to do with Criminal Record Check ........otherwise they wld ask everyone to come and do fingerprint....maybe just cross checking !!

can u give us details abt your application is it complicated ? divorce age difference anything ...not enough proof ....? etc etc

no it is first marriage ....only 2.5 yrs age gap..
My status is app received and medical received

maybe the name or something is similar to some criminal or terrorist -- juz a guess.

actly thats what happened with my FIL -- he ent to Singapore last to last year on visitor visa - and they did wholebackground check at the airport for like 2-3 hrs coz thrs been a terrorist in Singapore whoz name is similar to my FIL's.

I guess Client Service Commitment Date - it is the date that NDVO has all documents needed and the requirements on the sponsor's and applicant's checklist are filled. the date is the same date that the VO has recieved your application if all requirements have been met when it was submitted
so they can move ahead with your case like background checks and final review.

Just find MP of your area through http://www.parl.gc.ca/Parlinfo/Compilations/HouseofCommons/MemberByPostalCode.aspx call him/her and book appointment.

Hey don't get frustrated, our wait is going to be over as NDVO has started working on March files as well. You'll get your Visa soon.
