This is the reply i got from CHC, New Delhi. Can anyone throw some light on this? I applied on Jan 31st and PPR on march 9th but still haven't heard anything about visa from them. On that these kind of replies increase my disappointment.

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.

We have received your e-mail and have taken note of it. The Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers (PAFSO) union is currently taking strike action. PAFSO union members responsible for processing visa applications have been walking out of offices in Canada and overseas.
Contingency plans are in place to ensure all offices remain open and are providing at least a minimum level of service. Priority is being placed on urgent humanitarian applications.
Unfortunately, this means that this application is & will be pending initial review therefore we are unable to advise when a decision can be expected.

This is a standard reply they are giving to everyone who inquires !!

waiting foreva...myrah...jk 45 ..RD...we all have same timeline ...as we have seen for a normal case without any complications it takes 8 months so we still have some time...think its gonna be next year :'( :'( :'( bcoz pafso and tony will just keep fighting

Hey harinder .. I am feb applicant .. N I really wish to go by October ... It's already toooo late.... Just hope for the best and no negative thoughts plz ! We nvr know wats gona happen next .. Ndvo is v unpredictable .. All we can do is pray for the best

Somebody please help me.

I received an email from NDVO, they are asking for divorce certificate of previous marriage. I am a Muslim, initially I sent them a certificate issued by QAZI.

Can we go to WAQF board for divorce certificate? Would it work? If yes then where should we go for this? They ask me send me in 30 days, Do I need to send me in 30 days only or can I send after 30 days also.

I received this text:
- Legal document of divorce of your sponsor's first marriage, issued by a competent and recognized court of law

i think waqf board certificate will b fine.. it was of d court divorce or dissolution of mrrage frm court...????

Yesterday i was called for finger print scanning at the New Delhi Embassy. When i asked what was the reason for this i wasnt given any answer. I requested them to allow me to meet an official so that i can discuss my case file with him/her. I was denied.

Is fingerprint scanning a regular affair for the Embassy? How does it affect the processing of my file."]
