Hi Friends,

How ppl are receiving their passport with visa.?

Via courier or postal ?

Or do they need to collect it from embassy.?

hi,i have been reading 2012 and 2013 new Delhi forums for the past 10months.so i have an idea of wats going on.
it depends upon the place were you live/ rarely they make calls and ask to pick the passport in person but they do consider your convenience/mostly they send it thro courier

1) i think the area you may be living in may require and i hv heard some area have cockroaches too..I never had this issue living in GTA or anyone i know.....
1) I know about the discount some may give u, but u don't get insurance from india...if u know the company from india who is providing the insurance...share with us ( AGAIN I AM TALKING ABOUT ONTARIO)
2) True,Saffron is expensive

1) The point is u dont get that item here, so its handy when u need it.
2) I am talking about years you were insured, so when you go to buy insurance, there is discount clause - however, I dont recall abt Ontario but for those coming to BC

http://www.icbc.com/autoplan/moving-insurance/discount-for-new

For New Residents

For each year you've been insured claim-free, we offer a five per cent discount—up to a maximum of 40 per cent. In most cases, we look at your most recent 1–8 years of driving before you got your first Autoplan policy or B.C. driver's licence.

So imagine getting a head start of 40% if you have the right paperwork

I lived in ON for 5 years and auto insurance was horrendous, I was told to get insurance when if I didnt have a car as a new resident so it becomes lower later, it was something insurance agents too - but I was ouitta that place anyway and in B.C they asked if I have any past claim free from ON or India, I had lil paperwork and got great discounts on basic insurance

You do not need any other VISA if flying through any other country, Canadian visa will do.......... US is the only country which require their VISA if you are flying thorough US
You don't need transit visa if you going through one Schengen country and if you need to go through 2 of these countries ( 2stops) you need transit Visa.

Well you guys, I just checked E-cas and it says DECISION MADE!

I hope this means good news. Because now I'm going to worry about him getting his visa back. His address is still listed as his Indian address though? Is this a bad sign?

I'm nervous now.

Congrats skas13.
they rarely change the address. Even there are ppl who still have their status as appl recd even after getting their passport with visa(u will know this if u read few post in 2012 thread and sum other threads.so dont worry. For sure you will get the pp with visa
and its clear that e-cas shows the status as "Dm". so dont worry. Keep smiling

My wife got PPR today!!
She'll send her passport and a copy of the pdf attached to the email using DHL tomorrow.

Did anyone include any cover letter or anything else when submitting the passport? The PPR mentioned submitting "Right of Permanent Resident Fee" and "Police clearance certificates" (if not already submitted) but I have already submitted those with the original file.

Also, just to confirm, this is the address she should mail her passport to right?

Wow bluezz Congratulations!!! :o you're very lucky to have a PPR as early as now. I'm happy for you... :) I'm also June applicant, hoping to have my PPR soon. :) Godbless
