sure na?? Coz i read this onthis forum only like 2 mths back i guess. Someone confirmed it with CIC customer care too and they said yes you have to inform CIC if you are gonna stay for long say more thn,a mth or so -- something like this.

it is always good to let them know but i have never heard of any issues....if you search back this forum you will find lot of discussion on this topic...

If you are already approved as a sponsor then they don't need anything from you anymore...and ur file will transfer to New Delhi for processing and they will contact your spouse...

if you are a Canadian citizen and you have a OCI then you can live as long as you like in INDIA.

If you are a Permanent Residence then you have to notify CIC for a long trip abroad...

woohoo :D
My wife got PPR today!!
She'll send her passport and a copy of the pdf attached to the email using DHL tomorrow.

Did anyone include any cover letter or anything else when submitting the passport? The PPR mentioned submitting "Right of Permanent Resident Fee" and "Police clearance certificates" (if not already submitted) but I have already submitted those with the original file.

Also, just to confirm, this is the address she should mail her passport to right?

That's right. Yes Cover letter would be appropriate and you can mark it in there saying "Right of Permanent Resident Fee" is paid and "Police Clearance Certificate" is sent.
Any missing documents that you may in doubt should be attached right now as well.

Good luck!!

Well you guys, I just checked E-cas and it says DECISION MADE!

I hope this means good news. Because now I'm going to worry about him getting his visa back. His address is still listed as his Indian address though? Is this a bad sign?

I'm nervous now.

Congrats skas13.... :D
Very happy to read these post in the forum.........

It is better to notify them if you will be away for more than 2 weeks....Again there are no set of rules and nowhere is written anything official about it.

Hi, yes my wife received similar email. I didn't include any cover letter but I did print out the PDF and attach the following papers (Landing Fee & PCC) just to be on safe side. PP was mailed on June 17.

Thanks.

Thanks :) I'm just a worrier. They never asked for extra info and no interview.

We have 2 kids together and lived in India for 4 years (married) before I moved back to Canada. Pretty straight forward I think.
