Hi Guys, Just wana share some news.. I contacted my local MP and had a long talk with her in reagards to my file. She suggested that once the strike is over I come back and see her and she will contact New Delhi office and find out the progress level.
And also said once the strike is over the office will be hiring extra help and working overtime to get the file out.

Just want to give some hope that. and wish all you guys the best.

That is great news canadian1986. Thank you for the positive news and we are waiting for the strike to be over.

Look at the spreadsheet that magessss has a link to in the bottom part of their post at the top of this page.
It will give you some perspective about the same.

Hope that helps.

Yes...People are waiting in the queue since Feb-march after the passport request. NDVO is very slow in processing and strike is delaying it even more.

this is ur PPR date do u have due date below that ?Coz in my gcms notes it does n i have sent my pp on 22 Jul !
The prb is i wanted to know till what period do we get gcms ? I mean the date we request or till the date we receive GCMS
In my gcms there is no mention of they receiving my PPR ! I m stressed n tensed

In my GCMS, the status updated date for criminality and security is Feb 2013 (when my application was reached) and the due date for both is 18 March 2013. I think there is no reason to freak out looking at this (it might be something related to admin work they do and project allocation, just a guess though). The clear indication available from this is that the Status for mine is 'Not Started'.

In my opinion, the gist can be got from the 'assessments' in the second page of GCMS (though the following pages & notes at the end shows more details).
In my case, the assessments shows:
Eligibility: In Progress
Security: Not started
Criminality: Not started
Medical: In Progress

What I infer from this is, my application is still stuck in the process for eligibility and medicals.
After that's passed, they might start Security & Criminality.
Correct me if any of you have any other thoughts!

Also, when you submit a request for GCMS on Jun 15 2013 (for example), you will the report having the activities only till that date.
Say if there is any PPR or any other further form request made on Jun 20, 2013, it will not be available in that GCMS request.

So don't worry and try to stay positive, Anisha!

In my opinion, you can apply GCMS notes now and you should be able to see when PPR request was sent to you and passport was received (as it's been a couple of months for you now since you have sent it) by CIC on what dates.
You can feel relaxed that things are going ok with your application through this way.

hi everyone...

those who are contemplating to apply for GCMS...

Please be mindful of the fact.. even GCMS notes processing is affected due to PAFSO... i know i am not sharing a good news..I had applied for my wife recently and the response from ATIP came like this

Submit your ATIP Request Online!
Since April 2013, we have been processing Access to Information and Privacy (ATIP) requests online. We are pleased to announce that this initiative is a great success!
Why use the online service?
Using the ATIP Online Request is a convenient way to submit requests quickly and easily, while simplifying the application process. Next time you apply; go online to save time and postage!!

You can access the ATIP Online Request tool at the following link: https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/.

We thank you for your continued support during the modernization process of ATIP operations.

*Important message: The Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers (PAFSO) union is currently taking strike action. This decision affects automatically PAFSO union members in Canadian and overseas offices.
Please note that normal processing times for ATIP requests could be affected by the strike
.

I am hoping i should get a reply for GCMS within 40days... Also for docs..i just submitted consent form and didnt attach any proof for my residency in canada. I enquired the same to aTIP queries and they were prompt in replying "We dont need your proof of residence and your request is due by 3rd September" which is 5th r 6th week from application (submitted in the month of july 3rd or 4th week)
