Sorry for the re-post but the file was transfer on the date I mentioned on the left as I checked my records and I was lucky that they transfer it faster.

Im also in the same boat. File was sent to NDVO on Mar 28. Need to be patient here folks! There are people waiting from mid 2012 and I think the office is working on clearing that backlog right now.

Passport Requested: June 27, 2013

my husband is traveling right now away from India .. can he send in his passport later? as I can see that it will take up to 3 months before the visa is issued and passport returned .. so does it matter if he send the passport in right away or a little later??

Thanks for this.. yea, i was also thinking its better to cancel my singapore residency and go back in india and live with relatives. PCC is police clearance right? But how did you obtain PCC from Dubai without getting a request from CIC? Applying for PCC comes much later in the application stage right?

i advised you please don't cancel your Singapore residency. it will delay your application proses in NDVO. it is better and best tell them in your residency status. i understand that Singapore will take 20 to 26 months. you can select your visa office India or Singapore because you have a legal status in Singapore.

Dorjee,,, you better ask NDVO for 2nd PR after all verfications checks as u need your passport to be back in short time... else they will keep ur PP for atleast 3-7 months...for no reason... or you cancell your oversea trips... your should write email or letter. they do encourage for 2nd PPR

I still have not started the application process.. I am planning to cancel my singapore residency even before i start the application process. that will reduce confusions because i will only apply from india and choose NDVO?
