Hey Gurnam,

Can you please answer the following as I am a little bit worried.

1. Did you submitted a cover letter for medical and police certificate when they asked your passport.

2. Is your e-cas goes directly from Application received to DM.

3. Have you got any other emails beside passport request.

Thank you,

Below are the answers for you :
1. I submitted my medical and PCC the very 1st day with my application and yes the entire package was sent with a covering letter by my imm lawyer. When ND asked for my passport they also asked for PCC from delhi and Chandigarh as i stayed there more than 6 months and again i submitted with a covering letter.
2. No my Ecas was In Process from the day i got my file number from ND. Its changed to In Process to DM.
3. No they only have my imm Lawyer's email so i got passport request through a regular mail.

Wish you a very very best and i hope you will get a news in a few days.

Thanks for the wishes friends. Hummmm waiting for my passport now.

Hey Guys,

I think its better to contact MP than order GCM notes... I had gone to MP last week and they call NDVO for me .. and ND responded to their call right away.. If you are very worried and cannot wait for a month to know whats happening.. best is to contact your MP.

Hi kiratjohal,

You are already on the sheet. Please check line 31

Can anybody please update the spreadsheet the information

"Sponsorship Approval" for me should be 2/15/2013.

Hello,

I want to say Thank you for this forum esp the excel sheet with time frames. I found it very useful.

I'm sponsoring my husband and his file is being processed at the New Delhi location:

Application Filed: 06-March-2013
Acknowledgement Of Receipt Received.: 16-March-2013 :)
Sponsorship approved & File Transferred to New Delhi: 04-April-2013
Medicals & police clearance: was already done and submitted with original application
Passport Requested: 28-May-2013 :)
Passport Received by CIC: 07-June-2013
Visa Issued:

I had not paid the RPRF of $490.00 at the time of my application but I had paid it on 30-April-2013.
Till date they have not received and recently learned that it wasn't cleared by National Bank of Canada since 30-April-2013. I have confirmation thru my bank that the immigration office are aware that the fees were paid and are tracing the payment.

I hope that they clear the funds and process my husbands visa asap.

Another possible reason for delay is **Notice – Strike Action** :(

June 11, 2013 — The Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers (PAFSO) union is currently taking strike action. PAFSO union members responsible for processing visa applications have been walking out of offices in Canada and overseas.

Posted processing times for both temporary and permanent resident visa applications do not take into account work stoppages.

Anyone applying for a visa should anticipate delays and submit their application as far in advance as possible.

Contingency plans are already in place to ensure all offices remain open and are providing at least a minimum level of service. Priority will be placed on urgent humanitarian applications.

CIC continues to closely monitor the situation.

Hope this helps.

And yes if anybody's status changes and if you get your visa stamped. Please kindly update the forum with the date.

Regards
Samantha.
