Hi Everyone..

I have couple of questions regarding PPR and would appreciate if someone can help me out.

1) My wife(principal applicant) did a name change(last name) on passport before our wedding as both of us have same last name. the old passport got cancelled and they issued new passport with updated name...so far so good.

I thought that since the old passport is cancelled anyways, I answered '1' to the following question in ""SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION FORM - DELHI" :-

How many passports have you had, including the one you currently hold?

Now, in the PPR email, NDVO is asking to mail all the passports she had. So, will it be an issue if we just send the valid one or we must send both with some kind of explanation letter.

2) Can someone recommend a reliable courier service to send passport or registered mail is fine.

3) is this the valid address to send PP?

Thanks

Hey Guys,

I was wondering about how long it takes in New Delhi. I had my file transferred on April 3rd, and still haven't heard anything, although people after me have. I am just concerned about if there might be something wrong.

Thanks,

My spouse's file was transferred on Mar 28 and haven't heard anything either. But dont worry! If everything is proper, they will contact soon. Do you have any recent travel history?

Can anybody make any comment on the current process of PPR
Who gets it first....!!!!!

- People with travel history or
- People with no travel history

It looks like it is random
Sometimes people with travel history gets first and sometimes people with no travel history gets first

This is really confusing.... :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\

I dont think travel history has anything to do with PPR. Because why would they need someone's passport to extract their travel when they already have the photocopies of it....

Travel history can't be linked to PPR....What I think is that there are multiple Visa officers and they receive a bunch of files every week or month to process... Some officers clear more files in the first few days and others do that in the last few days so an officer who has the earlier files may end up processing slowly and after the files that were sent later but processed by a fast paced officer....

Probably Another Wild Guess

It does not matter or person with the no/less travel history.

i think they only care if you have previously traveled to Canada or not and they go from there ...

Initially when the file is transferred to Delhi, it is reviewed first by local embassy staff called "Case Analysts". After going over the file, they transfer their findings to a visa officer. So the visa officer doesn't review the file intially. This as per the Immigration Program Manager for New Delhi.

- DHL, Blue dart etc..Most of them are reliable

Question: when u receive a passport request is that an indicator of a decision made?
