Don't do the mistake again. Have patience as if you apply tourist visa again then it will cause a bad effect on your ongoing application.

Good luck!

hi
we got married in august 2012.my wife is canadian citizen. due to 5 years sponsership bar (because of her second marriage with myself) we were eligible to apply on 1st march 2013. we applied in march and after 1 month we got our first step approved few days back. and they said they moved file to new delhi.

our concern is , in dec 2012 before my application for pr, i applied for visitor visa and got refused. reason was family ties.
i have good travel history
1 year in england as student, more then a year in australia as student. visitor visa for thailand and schengen countries. but still got refused.

as our condition is strong now because of approval of first step we know few people who got visitor for their spouse after first step approval
we are thinking again to apply as visitor.
can someone plz help us that is their any -ve effect on my immigration application if they again refuse me. or should i avoid applying again.

thanks alot in advance.

Hello Saidpuria,

Since your file has cleared the first stage approval of sponsorship. You will be getting a request for passport very soon. so no use of applying for a Tourist visa which has a 100% probability of rejection as u already got refused once.

My suggestion for u will be not to apply for another Tourist Visa...

Thanks

I see people getting spouse visas early most of the time than the people who are aggressively trying on visitor visa. My belief is that It is hard to cope up with this waiting process but you should not try again.

cic updated us on 8th of april that our application is approved and they are going to forward the file to new delhi. how many days it will take to reach my file to delhi after 8th? will they courier my file or scan and send to delhi office. should i wait for any sort of letter at my address in india from embassy?
thanks

I am sorry I am fairly new here and have posted before but forgot how to do a fresh post..
Hence clicked on Reply....for the first post.

Read a lot of good things bout this forum so here's hoping..

I am a PR from India and am waiting on Police Clearance Certificate for my husband, who is in Hyd and the process is being delayed in the light of recent bomb blasts ( atleast thats what the police say).I have had to live away from him for so long already and its so hard so to make things easier on us we decided to take a chance...I applied for my spouse's visitor's visa and we were rejected today :(

I have a couple of questions.
1)Was this a bad move and has sort of damaged/harmed our chances for a smooth PR sponsorship application now?

I checked in the forum and there were quite a few actually who encouraged me to apply for visit visa (said that there is this loop hole in the system) and so I did. Not that I m blaming anyone. Just thinking how to salvage things now...

and
2) is the whole spouse PR application taking its own sweet time of 2+10 months usually?

and last but not the least ...
3) has anyone been in my shoes/situation and can they share what they learnt/experienced....

I am hating the wait :(

Peace to all.

You will be receiving E-Mail from New Delhi Embassy requesting to send your passport.Keep a watch on your junk mail folder as sometimes email from ND goes there...
You might get PPR by the end of April or first week of May.

Good luck
thanks for good luck ....and the info....keeping close watch on emails and phone calls :)

Hello Gulzar and dear members of this forum,

I am in a dilema about how to project my pictures for my spousal application. The cic tells us not to include any albums or binders for the pictures.

Currently we are using picture pages (which has four pockets on each page). It is size of the page and we are including it after each forms which requires photos to be shown and also in our proof of relationship section. We are printing labels(for picture info) and sticking them below every picture, on the picture page and also behind each pictures.

Now, I also read somewhere that pictures should be sent loose, however the most appreciated post in this forum says that they printed pictures on papers and included them.

Now, my question is that can we just use the picture pages as it is much more organized way of presenting, where chances of pictures getting lost is also less. Or should we submit loose pictures in envelops?

Also, These picture pages helps to sort pictures as per the forms whereas including them in envelope will make it unorganised and distorted.

Please help if you have knowledge about this.

Thanks in advance.

They normally email you your Application number / UCI#..
It takes (1-2) weeks for them to reply you back if all the papers you submitted are in ORDER and nothing is missing.
Good luck! Hope you hear very soon..

Thanks!

I did include my pictures in album. Is that the reason I am not receiving passport request from NDVO. However my sponsor was approved on feb 20 and file was transfer on feb 20th. I am worried.....:(:(
