This forum is bringing confidence :-) I am in the process of collating the docs and will file for the visa in a month. My husband is PR of Canada and he is currently working in Toronto. He is staying with his friend in a shared apartment. The rental agreement is on his friends name. Should I show any kind of address proof to apply for my visa? Kindly clarify on this

Hello @maanasa

I believe the address proof is required only for the principal applicant. As such you will be submitting the copy of your Husbands's (Sponsor) Employment Verification, which should contain his residential address. I don't think any other address proof for the Sponsor is required.

Ya his bank statements have his residential address. That should be sufficient as u said. another thing...(Doubts are killing me)

Few of the immigration/ Sponsorship forms have "From" & "TO" fields to mention about my husband's employment history.

What do I Mention in "TO" field for the job that he is currently doing. The "TO"field doesn't allow me to enter "Till date" phrase...

Also People Kindly help me on this...

When I called to the panel physician to fix an appointment for medicals, they are asking me to bring a letter from immigration stating that I am taking the medical test as a part of my visa application. But I don't have any such letter from immigration because I am yet to apply. Kindly guide on how to proceed on getting the medicals done?
You dont need immigration letter.
Let the doctor know you want an upfront medical exam and ask what needs to be brought. Like original passport , photos , copy of passport and fees.

It is safe to put the TO date as the date he signs the forms if its the present job.
If its previous , you know what to put (end date)

Hi Guys,

I will be submitting my file this month. My situation is different from all. I was in canada and I met my girl there. We lived almost 18 months before I was removed by CBSA.

My girl she came to visit me in India and we both went to Thailand for new year. We got married in Jan and went to europe for honeymoon.

Its almost now 6 months since I came. Now she is coming to india and she will live with me. She is also pregnant.

We are hoping to be process our case in 1 to 2 years. Rest let see.

Hello everyone,

I am curious, how many of the 2013 applicants on this thread are already in Canada or have been to Canada since their marriage (on a Visitor Visa or otherwise). I wonder if that "fact" delays the Spouse Sponsorship application at the New Delhi Visa Office.

Also, did anyone got a TRV rejection (for the Principal Applicant) before applying for Spousal Sponsorship? I wonder if Canadian Visa Rejections (any kind of Visa) impact the assessment of Permanent Residence application at New Delhi?

Me & my wife are PR card holders. I am presently working in canada & my wife would soon be giving birth to our child in New Delhi, India.
1) Can my wife bring my baby to Canada on tourist visa & we can apply for baby's PR from Canada.
2) If PR is applied for newborn in (Delhi) India then how much time does it take to issue PR visa for the newborn in India.
3) What all documents are needed for processing PR for newborn in India

If anyone knows answer to these questions or has been in this situation, please help!!

Hi,

I have no idea about the new born baby. But I think that the process will be same but it is gonna very very fast comparing with the spousal PR. Of course you have to make the passport of the new born baby etc. The best way is to talk to the CIC Call centre or send an email to New Delhi office. They will guide you in better way.

All the BEST,
Gulzar !!!
