I would add MP into your list too. MP checks only the status nothing else. Lawyers guide me into wrong direction too, which made me into this situation. My wife was a dependent in another sponsorship before the marriage, and I married her, the lawyer told me to apply for spousal sponsor, so that she can have both. He said which ever get processed faster, she can come to Canada faster with that visa. As soon as I applied for the spousal sponsorship, NDVO removed the other sponsor, because she is no longer dependent. I never thought about this, and even my stupid lawyer never thought about this. My wife's siblings and parents are now in Canada and my wife is by herself. Never listen to lawyers and MP. I always try to do the right ways, but now I ended up in such a mess.
