Your wife should definately talk to MP. MP can forward a letter from your wife's doctor to immigration. There are chances that you can get back your pp very soon.
Also at your end, you can also write a letter to immigration and can request for fast processing.

yupp ...most of us have put our life on hold coz of the immigration...but we don't have choice...we cant do anything abt it...all I think is we shld keep saying to ourselves that we will be in Canada asap...and im sure inshallah we will be thr....

and yes I think she shld talk to mp I don't know if she can manage in her 8th month but if she or someone from your side puts pressure maybe it can make move yr file fast ...

AUG 12 will be my 10 months and They are still not sending it. Whats the point of paying huge amount of $$ and they are not even doing there job. THEY SHOULD EVEN GIVE US A REFUND IF THEY DONT FINISH in given time frame.

Anniversary coming up and I dont know even know wether i should book air tickets for us or not. Been together since we are teen agers.. What else do they want from us??

But its not Tuesday in Canada. I think the required is Canadian tuesday (i am not sure).

Not trying to sadden everyone's mood. But Tuesday does not mean we will have answer that strike is over. There is no meeting setup for the sides to meet. Only thing is that the binding arbitration that the union offered comes off the table at noon on Tuesday eastern Canadian time.

I have lived in Ottawa since 1987 and this is a government run city. The government most likely will not agree to binding arbitration because usually the arbitrator agrees with the union. The union has steped up the pressure by effecting the pacific trade and that puts the government in a corner. But not enough for them to agree on binding arbitration IMO.

Tuesday at noon will come and go i think without even the government responding a no to the offer.

The only way this strike will stop before September is if government comes back with a different offer other than the same one from 2011. Even a little bit changed in it could at least get a counter proposal by the union.

This is all just my own opinion from a guy who lives in Ottawa and has sponsored his wife also waiting like the rest of you.

Im already playing a trip in December or January to see my wife and we applied in April 2013. I don't think she will get visa until at least February and that's if NDVO catches up on all backlog that has occurred

I believe govt. Will agree for arbitration . There is no harm to them they can easily not agree with arbitraion results and
Walk out. So probbably they will give it a shot.
