Today my wife received an email with a pdf attached, asking to submit the RPR (landing fee) and Passport to their office. Is this a norm? Do they generally send a letter for PPR or do they generally call? Just wondering?

Also can you please update the excel file with the details.

They are not consistent in updating E-CAS.
In my case i sent them on 21 feb they got in feb 22.
I got my AOR on mar-6 but till date i have no entry in E-cas searching with sponsor(myself) UCI , DOB and country of birth.
My spouse(applicant) and application number finds a record " we received your application on 22 feb bla bla"

I called the CIC call center to see why they do not have my entry on E-CAS even after 2 weeks from AOR. They do not have an answer.

i had submitted my husband's file on 12 feb 2013 and i got file no.on 25feb 2013,also got the sponsorship approval on 8 march 2013. now when i see my application status it is showing that your medical result has been received. please let me know the further process and tell me how long it will take for passport call.

I heard some stories that any time a person log in to the system, it triggers an entry/flag that how many times a person is logged in to online E-CAS

Let us assume what you said is true. They monitor your login attempts.
Probably this would be used for their survey or security to grab your IP address.

If you are applicant/sponsor/desginated representative you may check your E-CAS 24*7 through out the year.
I dont think this does really matter from the way I am seeing it.

It should not really matter to CIC if you are always checking your E-CAS.

Hey aakriti,

Where were you from so many days ? You are supposed to remain active on the Forum, if you want to know what is happening with the files of other members. The best way is to compare the timelines in the spreadsheet. Just click the link of the spreadsheet in my signature and you will get the answer for everything.

Also I need to know when was your medical done and on which date you have sent the application ? I have to update your info in the spreadsheet so that it will help other members to know what is happening at NDVO at the present moment. You can just have an idea. Actually every case is unique and different from each other.

Truly speaking the CIC guys are not answerable to anyone. They can do whatever they want to do. They have no fixed pattern for doing anything. I hope that they will update your ecas after the SA only.

I think the ECAS update and the AOR happens at the same time
