Congrats, That is good news i think, that your case went to IP, so i guess you have passed the interview stage....

Have you already informed them about your china or other travel plans? if not they may wonder or ask for PCC from those places. Good that you have informed them about china number? is it on file?

I received notes, got a phone call and status changed to IP yesterday.
The phone call was made to India and my grandmother politely informed I don't live in India. They seemed to be doing a small background check. Already emailed China mobile number three weeks back. Also sent an email asking them about the nature of the call since they didn't specify any. I still have my PP in hand and Meds expire in two weeks.
As far as the notes go, interview waived and comments said they are happy with the relationship proof we sent. They also have several pages of my correspondence with them and respective comments. Not a single email went unnoticed, just not replied to.
Eligibility-IN PROGRESS, Criminality-NOT STARTED, Security- NOT STARTED, Medical-IN PROGRESS,

And then, there are more descriptive passages on the above with updates
ELIGIBILITY
status- reccomend passed
due date - 6/11/2014
CRIMINALITY & SECURITY - Nothing, mostly blank
POLICE CERTS. - No adverse info
Meds: In Progress (?!) also due date - 5/11/2014. My meds should expire two weeks from now, it will pass the 12 month mark. Did they just extend my medical validity as per notes?

i came to forum after long time.

as my interview is coming soon next week so just want to ask anyone who went through an interview that what documents should i carry with me other than our marriage,reception and other vacation photos and communication proofs...??

should i carry my academic credentials/certificates or not...?

plz suggest me any other supportive documents so that i can prepare myself...

take a copy of application forms and supporting documents that you had submitted (they rarely ask to see already copies of submitted application but if NDVO fumbles around looking for document in the computer you can impress him/her by offering to provide a hard copy of that document); updated files (supporting documents since the time of application submit - if you had communication with sponsor since the submission, get print outs; if your sponsor had visited you since the submission takes copies of pictures, ticket stubs, plane boarding pass/train tickets/ tourist place fees etc); anything that provide more support to relationship proof.....as for documents to get in they would require passport (if already submitted they would have listed other acceptable documents in the interview letter)....good luck...

Regrading the questions I was asked few questions from questions already posted in this forum and few questions from my trip to the US- that so my because it's related to my case I think. About 20 mins interview

would you plz tell me what is the deference between Case Specific Inquiry and "Note"? actually I don't know what are they and how can I or my sponser would be able to do it! share the links through which we can apply for CSI or NOTES also if possible.

case specific inquiry is a quick way of knowing what is the status of your application (most of the time you might get a standard answer ' application is within processing time' but sometimes they respond to specific question) and it is faster than notes (notes will give a detailed account of when you submitted file; who opened it; when it was transferred from canada to india; whether interview is recommended or not; etc) since notes takes about a month and CSE takes about 15 days even though they mention that it would take 30 days to get response...here is link to CSE

did you give them the receipt for Rs. 2000 and ask for reimbursement? tell them Modi wants to make sure that there is no unnecessary spending from indian citizens and wants us to save money...

Yes, my family and I are based in China since 10 years. UAE, China and India PCC already sent.
Should have applied from China, they are super fast. Anyway, anybody still have the link to the doc explaining the guide to reading notes? Been looking, cannot find.

rk on my application status it shows my husbands address. Like whn i enter my uci nb and check status it shows mailing address of canada on both sponser n pr ... I didnt undrstnd check the application u mean application forms we sent to cic.. M i rite?

yes....when u got DM so then it shows the Indian address of the Applicant and in few days it will be changed to the Canadian Address of the Sponsor which happens in the normal case of the Applicants without the Representative.I hope that you have understood it now.

Rk my husband went to mp and asked her abt it she call embassy infront of my husband and ask abt mailing address and that where will they send all the documents n ppr they said on current mailing address which is of canada n she said my husband to change mailing address as soon as we can.. She said that u send me an email in which u write ur wife's address, i will send it to embassy and they will change mailing address
