My two cents on this
I had to deal with Canada Border Service Agencies a couple of years ago to provide them information about my dad's stay in Canada, and at that time I was made aware that CBSA takes care of your entry in Canada only. There is no Canadian agency which records your exit.

yes they don't record exits but they can figure out from the visa stamps in the passport of someone coming and going out of canada...when I leave Canada they look at my passport but they don't stamp my leaving and when I arrive in India they stamp my arrival and when I leave they make sure I have PR card and stamp my departure. When I arrive in Canada they swipe my PR card and passport so there is a record of arrival but just looking at my passport they can figure out when I left the country...just curious before I board a plane don't they look at their database and see if I am the most wanted person (in this forum but not sure about the world) and if I have criminal cases and do they record of my leaving the country...when I had to reapply for PR card, I had to show comings and goings in the form of travel history (copies of airline tickets and boarding passes) since immigration officials don't have my goings out of country.

Little extra delay may be due to holidays week end pray and will your visa is on the way postman with the registered mail contains your visa passport etc is just knocking the door

I hope it happens this week... Have to plan a lot of things before travelling. Migration never easy

Bunnypadda even I m waiting for the pp. Dm was made on 9th august for me. I hope this week brings happiness to our lives with the pp and a shiny visa on it.

Dear Seniors,

I need to travel abroad on a Business Trip and need my passport back from NDVO. Can someone tell me whats the procedure for same. I am 1st Nov 2013 Applicant, and my application status shows Application Received. Though I got t know from the MP Enquiry that my Interview is due. I am planning to schedule my travel after my Interview.

Can seniors/someone reply to my query.

Last month MP said " The background checks took a bit longer than usual to process. The file will be reviewed shortly, within a couple of weeks and then most likely finalized."

Yesterday he said " I spoke with CIC and they advised they are reviewing the background checks and completing a final review on the file. I will check on the file once again in a month's time."

What should I expect?
