what is your current status? in process or application received..normally it takes anywhere between 10 months to 13 months to see some kind of movement...have you done all the routine stuff - call Canadian MP (and garland him with dollar notes); case specific inquiry; notes etc? as for magic wand, mine is out of battery and needs another magic wand to start the engines...

After 1 week of my status changed to IP today it went back to Application received, and inside it remains the same that we have started processing your application on 11th July 2014. What the hell is this ?They also requested ADR on 11th june and on 11th july ,my application went in process and now after a week back to application received.
It has happened to quite a few September applicants now. Your comments will be appreciated. Thanks..Shall i beleive on ecas as one similar applicant sran0061 went back to AR after IP and after 1.5 months he got a mail for an interview, dont have words what to say about these people.

indian visa in your passport? so are you from a neighboring country here in india as a student? so you probably have to extend your visa first to stay in india then send your passport back to NDVO with visa..in the mean time send them a case specific inquiry asking for an explanation..the down side is, it takes a month to get an answer...i guess send your case specific inquiry while extending your visa (you need it anyway in order to stay here)

yah, since I'm from Afghanistan and student here in India so My visa in the passport was expired in jun 19 2014, but to extend my visa, they don't extend it on my passport, but instead they extend my RP (Residential Permit) by which I can stay here, and it acts as my Visa to stay here in India!
Anyway I will do it, but would you plz tell me that should I send my passport as soon as I extend my Visa, or I should wait till the NDVO request my passport again?
And about case specific inquiry, how can I apply for case specific Inquiry? and If I do it, won't it have any negative affects on my Case?

yes ofcourse they send ur passport back bcoz ur visa expires. .bcoz they never do that to anyone in this forum. .so extend ur visa and send the passport back to them..

I got DM today! at 9 30 in morning it showed IP and at 11 am , it became DM. This is my full timeline:

App filed- 17 oct
sponsorship approval - 19 nov
pp request - 17 jan
IP- 18 July
DM- 22 july

i sincerely pray and wish everyone to get visas at the earliest.

My sponsorship is approved on Nov 20, 2013.
File transferred on Nov 26, 2013.
Passport was requested on Jan 20,2014 and sent on Jan 23 ,2014.
Medical results are received and Medical expiry is on Sept 22 .

Status changed from Application received to In process today. Message is " We started processing *****'s application on July 19, 2014."
One question, if Status is In Process, Is there any chance for interview or ADR request. Thanks

your assumption might be right...they are ignoramus about Afghanistan visa procedures (they could ask someone but that requires getting their behind out of chair and call someone on the phone)..at the very least they could have typed a letter with an explanation when sending your passport back (well that requires typing skills and motivation). They would eventually ask for passport so wait for them to ask...besides it is better to have it on hand in case of emergency to use it than these morons locking up the passport in their desk...Send them a letter to their address; fax that letter if you can; and send them an email....no it won't have any negative effects on your case....link to their address information
