No news yet.. Kind of frustrating.!!

Oh ok. Your medicals expire after 3 months and half so you will hear an update before that and hope its sooner. btw whats the date of sponsorship approved or AOR? Then i can add you on the spreadsheet. Thank you for your timeline.

Hi guys.. I'm a aug 15 applicant nd my wife visited me in nov for some functions nd our anniversary which was in feb nd now she has gone back nd we have a good news dat she is pregnant... Nd at dis moment I really want to be with her.. Nd my e cas status still app recieved nd medical recieved .. Hw much more time will dey take .. It is depressing ???????? Can't wait anymore wt should I do ???

I am second week feb applicant and yet no update from NDVO. I haven't recieve any AOR from them.
I am not sure if they have recieved my file or not yet.

Dnt worry after reaching to delhi, NDVO takes about 1-2 months to send the acknowledgement

Congrats to all those for recent DM on their application....it is very positive n keeps others hopeful too...

My question is with regard to PCC. As its mentioned in the generic letter by CIC that applicant needs to submit the PCC for any country they had spend more than 6 months in. I had spent around a year in Canada during my PG education three years back. Do I need to submit the PCC for Canada as well? If yes, then, can anybody tell me the procedure to do that? I had written case specific enquiry to NDVO but no response and its over six weeks now....Though the PCC for India was submitted at the time of application..

yes you have to submit PCC for canada as well , check the RCMP website to get instruction on getting PCC fom canada

So I received a call from my MP yesterday and here is what's going on:

My online status on e-cas says "your application for permanent residence has been received July 11, 2013", and "medical results have been received". Here is the weird thing, my MP says that according to NDVO my application was actually received on August 13, 2013 ! ! ! NDVO has not touched my file at all, so my MP told me to wait until they start processing August applicants and I should hear something then All this time I thought I was a July applicant and was super stressed out looking at this forum with everybody from July getting "IP" and "DM" wondering why my application is not getting any updates. I guess this is kind of a "bitter sweet" moment, I thought something was wrong with my application since I applied in July and I wasn't getting any updates, but turns out stupid NDVO has filed me under "August" applicants. More waiting . . .

Are you taking assistance from Devinder Shorey ?????

I guess sponsorship approved date is when I got a letter in email stating "You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent

Residence for your relative(s) has been forwarded to a visa office abroad for further processing."

Seems like many of us are not clear about travel.
As a general rule of thumb, please feel free to travel out of Canada for 1 month before "in process".
Once "in process" travelling is not recommended.

You should never inform CIC of your travel on your own.

I applied in November 2013, sponsored by my wife who has a PR. The application was then transferred to new delhi in december 9th 2013 is the latest status i can see.

how soon can i get the passport request?
also can i visit canada for 15 days on visitor visa on invitation by my spouse? are there any chances of rejection?
i also can arrange of official inviatation if you guys suggest for tourist visa for 15 days..

please suggest how do i call MP for PR and which mode should i apply for visitor visa now .. business or spouse?

Yeah, I was thinking about that, but that will just help me in tracking the status of my application right?

Basically, I am pregnant, and my delivery date is in June, I really want my husband to be here for the birth of our baby...but i am SO confused as to what I can do! Thats why I went to my MP, told him my situation, 2 months ago, they sent my medical information to NDVO to see if they could do anytihng, they told us that they finalize over 80% cases in 6 months... this is month # 7 for our application- and my pregnancy. ???

I applied in September, and I know that a lot of July applicants are being approved, I also understand that there are not too many files for August and September, so Im hoping it will go through soon... but then I see that there are still applicants from June or earlier still waiting- and it makes me a bit nervous..

I spoke to a consultant and they advised me to do the Case Specific Inquiry, coz it gives me a place to enter my concern, and attach doctor's note, but I dont want that to hurt my application, coz I cant afford any more delay!! :'(

there are no rules as such....it is the fear that visa office is putting in everyone's minds that makes us assume things that are not true...once a sponsor is approved he/she is free to travel and stay as long as he/she wants in one country. It is the canadian citizens who are subjected to stupid proof that they intend to return. I agree no one has to inform anything to CIC (other than withdrawing sponsorship petition, separation, divorce, change of address, or pregnancy) whether travel or losing one's jobs. Talk to CIC they would tell you there no rules as for how long a sponsor can stay out of Canada. Talk to 10 lawyers, you will get 11 opinions (11th opinion will cost extra).

Welcome to the forum. You will probably get the PPR when they open your file or early than that. You may expect to hear an update after 4 to 5 months from NDVO. Yes, many ppl got rejected for visitor visa. You can try but i would suggest you to wait until you get visa without any delays. Its spouse because you will be invited by your spouse i think.
