You should get PPR very soon this month. Yes, the processing time is 12 months but you may get visa early than longer like 8 to 10 months if the case is normal. Hopefully you get PPR soon. All the best!

What are the next steps after PPR?

After PPR, you wait for an unknown length of time.
Then NDVO might update your ECAS to medicals received (if not already there) or
you will get an email requesting additional documents if they missed something (not always)
or you will get an email for and interview (not always, depends if you have red flags or not)
or they change your ECAS to in process
and then Decision Made on your application.

Its finally my turn to get on the OMG train!!

My wife got a surprise visit from the postman today morning who delivered her passport with the shiny visa stamped within.
Stupid and inaccurate ecas still says "Application Received". I was planning to do MP enquiry this week and apply for my 2nd GCMS notes tomorrow.
Its been the most difficult test of our life but I'll tell you guys the same thing that I've always told my wife... this too shall pass

Hi guys am wondering if this will be a problem. My landing paper hv my spouse old address ie ottawa we did an address change but it does not reflect. What do I need to do...hv booked myself to Toronto. .. worried plz help.

Hi, I am debating on should I apply through New Delhi (INDIA) or Sydney (Australia). So I need help. I would appreciate if someone provide some tips on my case. I got married in Dec 2013. My husband is in Australia and he is a citizen of India and studying in Australia. I am a Canadian citizen and I am planing to sponsor him. This is my second marriage. I sponsored my exhusband and after he got his PR in Canada, He left me. I was a victim of "marriage of convenience" and all that happened in 2009. I have been through unexpected awful experiences of life. However, I met my current husband online in 2010 and since then we became good friends. Finally, in 2012, we went to India and got engaged and this decemerber 2013 we got married. Now my question is would my previous experience with sponsorship will effect sponsoring my current husband? What do I need to provide to show I took all the precautionary measure to make sure my current husband is a genuine person and his intentions are genuine. I just want to start a family life and want to be happy as I have been through a lot. If someone can provide me some help on what should I do or Where should I start? And in addition, Should I apply for my husband thought Australia or India?

You should clearly apply from Australia and for many reasons! First My hubby and I had initially planned to live in Australia for couple of years before changing plan and come to Canada. So I called canadian immigration asking them if a citizen of India can apply in Australia, they confirmed to me that if ye is living there he can surely do it. Also, sooner or later in the process your husband will have to send his passport. If he applies in India he will have to stop his studies and go back to India until he gets his passport back with visa. Also India (and asia) are having a reputationof marriage of convenience so i believe that officers overthere are more doubtful. So in Australia they might give you less hard time. Because in India you will unfortunately have a red flag due to your past experience... So without any hesitations Australia is a better office to apply! Without forgetting that India office is so random... We never know what to expect from them!
