A slight OMG, my wife got a call today from the Chandigarh visa office for an interview in Chandigarh on March 25th. Exactly 1 month from today.

Thanks to Myrah7, Desi-Girl, waiting2exhale and others for helping me figure out the meaning on my gcms notes. Now that our interview has been scheduled, would it be wise for my wife to bring with her, her current passport to the interview?

Good luck with your interview, better to carry current passport, may be they will give on-spot visa !!

Thank you NAKSA, I hope her visa can be issued on the spot. Though I'm not a 100% sure wheather her medical is extended to the end of May of 2014. My assumption is based on what's written in the gcms notes I've ordered.

My wife got a call during the early afternoon today(India time) from the Chandigarh visa office. They also sent her an e-mail after the call.

Seems surreal. After over 11 months of patiently waiting, a change in status:


We received your application for permanent residence on March 18, 2013.

We started processing your application on February 22, 2014.

Medical results have been received.


Now for some more patience. Any guesses for how long?

check desi-girl's or myrah's spreadsheet and it shows who got when, how long did they wait etc....

Where did you get the inforamtion about medical extension.

Yeah they are now extending medical validity, best of luck and wish you speedy visa.

Many applicants who applied for GCMS notes found out that their medical validity extended from 1-8 weeks.

We started processing your application on February 22, 2014.

that's great news finally u got the date tell your wife to carry the passport with her now....she has full chances of getting her visa the same day since your medicals are still valid after the interview.....good luck to both of u ....be calm be confident....im sure u guys will pass with flying colors ........all the best dear (btw are u planning to join her for the interview?)
