@MAGESSSS:: Thankew so much fr these wishes...I knw wht ur goin thru at ths moment..I hv seen my husband loose his patience n all tht I do is just keep calm n listen to him n later on just control my emotions n gather my strength n sumhw try n mak him feel relaxed..Hats off to all the ppl who hv been thru ths n who r wid us sailing in the same boat..n the worst part is the pressure of ppl who just hav one question on their lips when they c u "ABHI TAK KUCH NAI BANA JANE KA?KITNA TYM LAG JAYEGA...n blah blah.." n all wht I hv fr them is "a bad expression" on my face...LOL..i knw thts kinda rude bt cant help it..Well,I hope ths wait ends soon..Where in Indis is ur wife frm??

You are right what else we can do except waiting. There are already many 2012 applicants who are still waiting, so this is not just because of strike.

Hi all,

I'm posting to the forum for the first time even though I've been reading and getting a lot of help from you guys.
I heard back from CPC Mississauga for the first time today after I submitted my application June 11th, 2013 to sponsor my wife who's in New Delhi.

My question is about transfer of file to NDVO. This email did not mention any such info. It simply said "This confirms that your application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2013/06/12 on behalf of the following member(s): XXXX XXXX".
Should I expect another email from CPC Mississauga which will tell me that the file has been transferred NDVO?

Another minor question is about file tracking. They included UCI# and Application# in the email but I am not able to track this online. I also noticed that the UCI# is same of my PR card's UCI#. I guess I just have to be patient? Do you guys usually use UCI# or the application# to track your files on ecas?

Hello and welcome: You have crossed first step of sponsorship approval , your file will get transferred to NDVO soon and you'll probably get email about that. 2) There is UIC # for you with the help of which you can check ecas status and Application No is associated with particular applicant and can be used by them for tracking their file.

Do you guys know the funny things? If you are a student permit holder you can sponsor you can sponsor your wife with in a week. if you are a PR holder or Canadian citizen you have to wait 10 or more months?????????
