if I write to ndvo I am all alone in Canada ,will they process my application faster???

they might write back saying 'we are alone in this basement without windows processing files, can we go on long leave with pay?'....

Friends by the look of it here is my theory of NDVO process. This is for the complete package send already if there is any missed document then there is a delay.

1. Look for complete package send by the applications. ( 2 months )

2. Look for application really applicable to sponsor ( 1 month )
(what is the income, is he/she on welfare, can support wife, how long living in Canada)

3. Issue AOE from Mississauga (1 week)

4. File waiting for review in NDVO. ( 2 months )

5. File getting review for medical, PCC validity and security check ( 2 months )

6. File send to senior officer to review to send PASSPORT Request ( 1 months )

7. Passport received by NDVO and now waiting for review ( 2 months )

8. File getting review by junior officer and then sending for final assessment ( 1 month )

9. Getting a call or showing DM on E-cas ( NO IDEA )

Friends this is what I am assuming that NDVO office is doing. Don't panic as this information is purely based on my side.

good assumptions for a normal office procedures ..based on these assumptions, I guess my file is stuck at item 4

Hi Guys

A lot has happened since my last post.

My PR applicant wife got a TRV so she has moved in with me in Toronto.

She has now received her PPR, does this mean their is no requirement for an Interview? If required to interview we'll be in a fix because she is on a single entry TRV and we'd prefer not to go through another visa application for multiple entry.

Anybody knows whats next after PPR? We have submitted medical, pcc, paid fees with the application. (applied 25th Nov'13 , file moved 22nd Dec 2013 , PPR received 20th Jan 2014)

PPR is just one of the initial stages and it does not mean there is no interview....if there is an interview, she has to go and hope for the best....if you have not sent passport yet then they will ask for it couple more times and I am not sure if this will delay the process or not....one option is to wait and see if there is an interview or not...usually they give one month time if there is an interview....

My medical was expired in Dec 2013. My Lawyer said to do re-medical, but I didn't get any request. Can someone please answer if we can do re-medical without any request. Is it appropriate. Thx

you need to show letter from NDVO for re-medicals....

omg..tomorrow I will be completing my 9 months of waiting...omg ...haven't written omg in 9 months... but this omg is not just an expression but appeal to HER... when I can say my OMG? oh my god please send a very very small lightening jolt to New Delhi visa officer's behind (too big jolt will keep him tied to his chair and nothing will get done) and wake him up...

Nice attempt...thx......however m wondering if applications are first come first bases or it varies from case to case.....? We also got to know through some internal sources that d processing is taking long time due fake cases (50% of the spousal visa cases are fake at NDVO)......... that's really sad because the genuine applicants have to suffer because of this

This due date may not be very accurate. Mine shows June 26 (SA approval date), but the real validity is until March 30 (original meds done April 1 of last year).

Look for validity date if any.

Look at page 10-11 of your notes, under Medical. Look for the "Due Date". That should tell you when your medical expires.

it is not 'first come, first served' basis..it won't work with NDVO...it is just luck and how fast your background checks (I think that is done by outsourcing firms) gets completed and how less complicated your application is (simple example is if you need an interpreter for interview and if there is an interview, they have to arrange for an interpreter and this delays your file processing)..to make it worse they have fewer staff working and strikes, holidays etc...having defended them, I can't resist saying they are lazy bums (now I can exhale..I was holding my breath not to criticize them but whew what a relief)...

Application received by CIC Canada: Oct. 29th 2013
Sponsorship Application Approval from Canada: Nov. 14th 2013
PR Application Status: Dec. 10th 2013, Application n Medicals received (present status)
GCMS Notes status as on Jan. 2014: Medical Passed, any other checks have not begun yet
Passport sent after the PPR: Feb. 3rd 2014

They just wanted to make sure we are in continuous relation...

So we passed and finally Done

Now gotta do re-medical and wait for visa

But this due date doesnt make sense as there is no way they will extend medicals from march to july! Basically all updated dates are showing july 2013 and nothing was touched on my file when i ordered for it.

Yes...did my medicals on 5th march...application got delayed to june due to delay in gettin my PCC and file was returned when i initially filed in may

Hi I might have to to remedical as its expiring on Mar 10 and still no update. one question - how long your pcc is valid for, do they also ask to do pcc again? What is your pcc exp date?
