Hello Everyone,

I applied for my husband in July 2013. Still status is application received and medical results received. We sent our passport in September. Till now no update.

Is anyone here July 2013 applicant??

Ecas status is Application received... no med update yet for me..
Dont know how long its going to take since NDVO is moving soo slow !!

Hello All,

My medical exp on mar 10 & pcc on 15.. I tried to check the status with MP as there is not update from cic. It is still showing AR, but that MP was so dumb, they is questing me why I submitted my medical and pcc in advance, I should be submitting only once cic ask to submit.

Really frustrated with cic and this application.

lawyers are dumb too..mine told me that she has never heard of any canadian consulates asking for passport well in advance and that I should check my sources....MPs are dumb too but that is understandable but lawyers should know the process of each consulate or at least try to learn..technically NDVO should let you know about your applications status before the medicals expire but I know of one case whose medicals expiring early next month but interview scheduled for last week of next month....my understanding is you don't have to redo your PCC

canadian lawyers are like postman if you give papers perfectly they verify. if there is any letter they forward,to u .bye the bye now NDVO is doing missisauga work also. NDVO asked me my pay stubs and proof of stay in canada in 30 days. Im preparing documentation

After passport request they are now taking 6-8 months for issuing visa and on their CIC website average processing time for spouse visa is now 12 months !!

Exactly ... Once I reach canada I will teach them some Indian tricks (Jugaad) to work faster and process more applications in short time.

I just got work permit approval for US and my company want me to go as early as possible. Looking at visa pace I am thiking of requesting back my passport.
Would apprecite if someone can tell me the process for above.

Hello,

First you already reach to half of the process time and you passport is already with NDVO and if you request back your passport for your it's delays your canada visa process and for resubmission you have to come back to India and have to send to NDVO and after that you have to wait till you get visa from NDVO.

Thakns for the reply. I am not much worried about couple of months delay since my wife is already flying tomorrow to stay with me and if US thing is finalized we will fly together there too.

We can't be sure about how much time NDVO take means ppl who already here is waiting for around 8-11 months as per current processing of visa.

I assume you want to get your passport back, then do case specific inquiry

That's bad, the bill is yet to be discuss in parliament, it can be accepted or rejected, if it is accepted then is it going to apply with immediate effect, or is it going to be for new applicants or for both new and existing applicants, suffering and scaring !!

Dont give me citizenship for 8 yrs but give PR in 6 months....for 100% cases nt jst 80 %......be fair!
