My MP said NVDO hvnt issued ny bring forward date yet fr my application....bt i could expect some updates by jan first week and he ll let me knw if there be ny updates....does that mean he ll contact me or shud i hv to mail him again if i dnt see ny change in my status?

contact your mp around 7th jan......if u don't see any updates (they have loads of other applications to take care of as well as their own work so they might forget )..... I think most of us shld get visa's by mid jan ......

in dec 2012 my hubby was in india for a month and we got engaged he came back again in jan for a week for the wedding and in march I had my honeymoon for 2 weeks ...... so we met 3 times before submitting my application and had several trips together like goa/ delhi /Europe.....and before engagement we had 45 days of 8 hrs daily on Skype which was given as proof and talkin on the phone again 3-4 hrs daily given as proof (yes we were crazy for the 1st 2-3 months of our relationship )....no fb given no emails exchanged nothing else....we submitted 200 pics, gifts receipt, all hotels bills, boarding pass and flight details.. so my Skype and phone bills were only 3-4 kgs from oct 2012-april 2013

Thanks for sharing all this. I think you are the only one in this forum who has given that much proof to the NDVO. To know about the skype and phone bills weight , and you were charged more by the courier company when you had sent your application. lol...

contact your mp around 7th jan......if u don't see any updates (they have loads of other applications to take care of as well as their own work so they might forget )..... I think most of us shld get visa's by mid jan ......

They did not call me for an interview.
We have known each other from past 7 years...got married in march 2013.
They do work...i agree but the no of applications arriving at their office compared to the no of visas issued or denied is way too high. As it is they had strike so things got delayed as it is.
We have submitted a lot of wedding (hindu rituals being performed) n honeymoon pictures..hotel bills tickets boarding passes...photos before our marriage.
Your case is strong i feel because you have submitted many photos...and other evidence which shows your marriage is genuine.

you are sounding more like Sunny Deol with his 5 kg of his hand weight in one of his movies he mentioned something like yeh 5 kg ka haath...lol....my god the NDVO officer must be thinking yeh kisse pala pada hai that he or she has to go through all the 4 kg of content....

My husband is a PR and after his sponsorship got approved...he came to india and we stayed together for 4 months...he had plans to stay with me and take me along with him when i get my visa but cz of the strike ...the process got delayed n he had to go back. I dont think there's any issue staying in india

May i know what is the current status of sponsorship ? i also want to go -apply for my spouse & want to come back . but my only worry is that experts say don't leave the country for long untill your spouse's visa is approved.

I have heard that if the sponsorer is a PR holder he should not be out of Canada a lot......dont know why but thats what I got from this forum as well.... i have heard some lawyers say the same...if canadian citizen then no issues.....but I have yet to see the way they treat the applications if you are a PR or a canadian citizen....

Lol actually I stayed awake his night n he worked till midnight to catch up with work till we realised we were falling sick now if u ask me to do it again omg no ways I need my 8 hrs of sleep ... Guess early stage of a relationship but was fun ;D
