Hi,
I am sponsoring my wife and settling in Montreal, Quebec. I am bit confused with the application procedure.

Does she has to apply for CSQ even when I am sponsoring her?
OR
I apply for Sponshorship and once I am authorized, I give that sponsorship letter to Quebec and get CSQ at that time for her?

Not sure what you are asking but the following should help:

1. Medicals validity is generally 1 year (from the time ND gets it or thereabouts)
2. Visa validity follows medical validity and one should land before medicals/visa expiry
3. In recent times, CIC gave visa officers the power to extend the validity of existing medicals by requesting such extension. So far there is no existing data that any VO exercised this ability.

Hope that helps.

Guys...
Any idea about relation Between??..... Medical..... Visa...... and......Landing......??

The following are the steps:

1. You apply for sponsorship to CPC-M with full application, medicals and all ( minus financial requirements). Pay ALL fees.
1a. When you are getting the signatures from your spouse, you can also prepare the CSQ application and get the signature right then, it helps

2. CPC-M approves you as sponsor and forwards the file to the visa office. You print that letter and CSQ app and fee and send it to Quebec

3. Once CSQ is approved, Quebec sends a copy to you, one to the VO

4. The wait begins

5. CSQ process should not delay the VO continuing work with your file.

6. More wait...

Hope that helps.

diis 27th you get an email about interview scheduled? so far it looks like age difference may be the primary reason for interviews (two had age difference). When is your notes due? I would interested in knowing the reason. There are whole bunch of Jan - Feb applicants listed in Myrah's post above waiting for interview date confirmation. Just would like to know what is the common reason for interview from these folks waiting for interview date. Good luck everyone waiting for interview.

Yes I hv got mail today Itself..There is no age difference between us.. my notes due date is 27th Dec. .

20 months and we still are not together... :'(
Hope this will all be over in the next couple of months. This NDVO's not reading our file and snap decision has cost us an extra year of our lives. Just want to be together and all of this behind us. :'(

Aw i know this is soo crazy of waiting longer. Dont worry you will get visa sooon and you should go and visit your spouse if its beeen so long for a year. Be happy! Wish you a speedy visa!!!! God bless you! :)

This is not entirely accurate. Maybe you mean BFD (bring forward date).

Without knowing for which the due date belongs to, it is hard to tell imo.

For example, medicals due date is set for one year (also the validity). In any given GCMS notes, there are 10's of due dates everywhere and they mean different things.

More experienced member can correct me if needed.

Thanks,
