LOVE UR RESPONSE !! Lolwaiting 2 exhale said:sorry that you feel depressed...I understand what you are going through and it is tough...there are things that you can control (eating, sleeping, to work or not) and things beyond your control (next door old neighbor with hearing problems blasting his TV; evil mother-in-law's behavior in TV serials; NDVO processing files). So, just wait it out and things will get better soon. If you develop wrinkles then your hubby would have difficult time to recognize you when he meets you in person (which will be soon). And you don't want that to happen at the airport when you come out through the exit door and he greets, by mistake, someone else who looks like you without wrinkles..best revenge in life is to live it up fully so that others would get jealous of you...my two rupees or two cents or twoonies worth of advice
Ok ! But first time I applied for notes on my hubby's application it was done under privacy act! And ur right I didn't have to pay 5$ and 3 weeks later received the GCMS notes about his file -38 pagesvisu007 said:Privacy Act applies when you are requesting details regarding yourself, like you own PR application, Visa application and so on. And there is no cost for it. Privacy Act can be used by Canadian residents only, need to send proof to ATIP office.
Access to Information act applies when you are requesting details from an office outside of Canada and also if you are requesting details on someone else, like your spouse. This costs $5.
That is what I know.
good for you...I thank my partner for putting up with my frustrations and giving me hope that this shall too pass soon...to everyone who are going through lots of pain and frustrations this too shall pass and once you get your shiny visa, you look back and soon forget about all the pain that you went throughakkujuly said:Waiting2EX.. why wait.. lets do it now..
i most lovingly and humbly thank my darling wife for supporting me wholeheartedly and so maturely during whole this time, i thank her for her patience for not letting the agony overshadow the love and support knowing its not over yet.. but hoping at the same time that it will be over... very soon.. thank you so much dear.. you havent let me down, and i wont too !
congrats ....it only took you 7 -8 emails/phone calls to change your address...will this news qualify for an 'OMG' moment? we are down to a level where any itsy bitsy news from NDVO (like I saw them going to work/I saw a ND visa officer at a chai stall outside consulate) would be a 'OMG' momenttired_of_the_wait said:finally after 7-8 odd attempts, CIC has updated my correct address on their website.. Hope to see some progress on the file soon !!

NDVO was on strike for how long which months?? Its going to be almost 3 months that my passport is with NDVO.. Can they keep my passport like this for how long?? There has to be a num er of days that they can keep my passport and before that they have to give the visa and send it back.. I travel alot and now I can't as I dont have my passport but thats fine.. My lawyer has sent extra documents like pictures air tickets visas as me and my wife travelled together even though the NDVO did not ask for any additional documents still we had send it just to make our case more strong.. I hope that wont be a problem.. Some people say that they have hired people to process applications faster but I dont see that happening.. Some also say that they should process all the applicants of this year within this year but I dont think that can happen.. I really dont understand how long do we need to wait.. I know I have asked you alot if questions here so take your time ans answer them all.. sorry for the trouble lol..!!

lol....looking at the Myrah's spreadsheet, there was one person NHMirza whose application was received on May 15th....status in ecas was changed to 'in process' on 8th Nov but passport was requested on Nov 26th..unless this person missed the email request, it is interesting to note that 'in process' happened first followed by 'passport' request..I thought NDVO would start 'in process' only after receiving passport..learn lot new stuff everyday except where the hell is my passport request...I guess you are next in line for status changetired_of_the_wait said:hahahaha.. its indeed an OMG-they-r-alive moment
Actually, Im an NRI. I had sent my passport in earlier on July 17th. NDVO kept my passport from July till October after which I asked for it back as my passport is my only form of ID as an NRI in a foreign country. So NDVO sent my passport back to me and called for it back for a second time on Nov 19th after my file went in to 'In Process' on Nov 8th.waiting 2 exhale said:lol....looking at the Myrah's spreadsheet, there was one person NHMirza whose application was received on May 15th....status in ecas was changed to 'in process' on 8th Nov but passport was requested on Nov 26th..unless this person missed the email request, it is interesting to note that 'in process' happened first followed by 'passport' request..I thought NDVO would start 'in process' only after receiving passport..learn lot new stuff everyday except where the hell is my passport request...I guess you are next in line for status change
thanks for the clarification..I knew there must something more to it than just looking at the date and scratching my head...they should not be asking for passport so early in the process and put people in despair with the passport getting stuck in the NDVO hellholeNHMirza said:Actually, Im an NRI.
