my lawyer in canada called the immigration office for update ... he got a recorded reply based on the file no...
that indicates my Eligibility, Security and Criminality has not been initiated.

first ADR now this

bubbles im an april applicant and I got a message saying still waiting for initial review by a vo.......its so generic .....its very normal standard reply from them......u got adr on 15th nov....so till 15th dec they wont even look at your file and then after 1-2 months they will process your file.............so by jan u shld be getting something... don't worry...they are bunch of idiots handling our files....don't take stress ....hope u collect all documents they asked u for and submit it asap...and hopefully u hear something soon from them ....good luck dear

Yes I am working in India. Any suggestion by when I should apply for GCSM notes? Based on notes I will take the decision.

It's hard to say when your application will have the eligibility, medical, criminal checks done. You can apply for notes when the August applicants are being processed and you haven't heard anything from the VO. If not, it's only $5 to apply for notes so you can apply every month and see what they say.
If you don't mind the delay, you can also email NDVO asking if you request for your passport, when would they ask for it for visa approval and if you can put you application on hold until you get back from USA and resubmit the passport. You can also find an immigration lawyer and ask that question.

If you really want to, Just apply for GCSM notes from January, it's only $5 and maybe you can get your answer and hopefully a piece of mind. But at the rate at which the NDVO is working, the notes most likely won't say anything until Feb-Mar 2014 at the earliest which is most likely when the August applicants are being processed.

Hi bubbles, like Myrah said, it is a very generic response. There is no use worrying about something that we have no control over. But I am pretty sure that you application processing completion is not that far away. They are working on it, hence they requested the additional documents. But it will time to update ECAS, and your lawyer. So good luck and don't worry

I did reply to your post last time don't think u saw it...... once again for u

GCMS notes are essentially all the notes that vo will have on your file.
why its useful - if there is a long delay since you submitted your application and no change in status or no ppr u can figure it out if u have missed the request, or ADR , if you want to check if u have interview or you want to know the officer's comments about your application....

Frustrating..... hoped that they would have done a major portion of MAY applicants.......this month...
So that they would go ahead with June applicants in early December...
