To make it precise 120 business days.... meaning almost five months...exclude the saturdays sundays and public holidays like victoria day, etc ..its a longgg wait ...

I think standard time according to spreadsheet is now averaging 120 days since PPR request and applicants still haven't received their visa, stay strong.
You are going to be fine...

It's also mentioned earlier by someone (pardon me I don't know who) that 3-4 months is standard time nowadays with no updates!

If this is true...then it would be great... I have sent my passport on the 2nd of may 2013.since then i have been waiting...very difficult time for both my husband and i .....but still we are hanging on... we have to .....no other option

It depends from case to case .. I have seen cases where visa was granted in a month after passport request in 2012 .. Some were granted within a month to two months .. Three months ..
Just hope for best ..

I've recently submit my application for Family Sponsorship for my husband

Courier arrived Missisauga office on May 22, 2013 .. so far I have not receive any letter or email of notification ..
we have a child who is 8 months old and a Canadian.. does this help speed up the process??

I am planning to invite him over once I am approved as a sponsor since he has only seem the kid two times and each time for a week .. can he wait for his PR while he is in Canada?? I know that he has to leave the country and come back again with the PR paper once it's approved ... would this complicate the process?? I read in some ppl's posting that the NDVO requesting passport months before actual PR is received/returned??

btw. I have paid all my fee and he has done his medical at the end of April ..

what do you mean by 2 months back ? is that means you got ppr request 2 months bank ?

You are missing this in the address :-
High Commission Of Canada. rest of the address is correct

And blue dart is the safest option.go ahead.it is the fastest option as well .

Hi all,
Can any1 please let me know the address of NDVO? In the passport letter it is mentioned:

Immigration Section

P O Box 5209,
New Delhi – 110 021

But does blue dart deliver to P.O box? please let me know.

application processing timeline for new delhi visa office is 10 months...check the cic website......
but i think that is the maximum timeline. Once they ask for your passport they donot keep it for that long...max 3-5 months..
dont worry.....

8 months jeezeee that just scares the hell out of me........

No one knows how long ND Visa office holds the passports....There is nothing like max of 3-5 months to hold passport....Its all depends on the case history and processing..Mine is with them since 8+ plus months...good luck
