Hi all I sent my app on april 25 reached mississauga april 26th 2013
I did not get any aor but when I called in cic today they said you are approved for sponsorship approval on 22nd may ,immigration will send you mail

I am happy that I got approval but on the other hand Its weired no email no mail so far for anything

did this happene to anyone else ?

can anyone tell when my file is going to tranfer ?

Congrats on your SA

Did u check your Ecas status n u will get to knw when CIC has sent you letter, File will be transferred on the same day but there will be delay in mail delivery.

Do you have travel history? any other situation? why are they taking so long

I have no travel history.
My case is very simple n straight. I have no clue why they are taking this much time.

thnks for informationn...i thinkk i will have to get a new PCC from Newzealand(NZ)..bcz wen i applied for my spouse visa,,my NZ pcc was 5 months old..i havent heard anything from ndvo yet..my file was transfered to ndvo on 5 april 2013.whats ur personal view abt dis???

The ones who have travel history NDVO is lil slow in it as procedure is lengthy... U shud order for new one as they might ask in ur ppr so by the time u get it ur time wont get wasted and u can submit ur ppr as soon as it arrives... Gud luck to it ...

Harshiddi, I don't believe getting visa has anything to do w/travel history if the applicant hasn't lived in another country for >6 months, and even these have anomalies. But I do agree that the thing that creates delays is security checks and visa approvals if such is the case. Every case is different and I'm not defending them but they have to do their due diligence no matter how straightforward it might seem.

That said, it's strange why they are taking so long to process the visa after PPR.

i came bak from NZ in sep 2012,,den i got my NZ pcc...i applied in march 2013 for spouse visa..my NZ pcc was 5-6 months when i applied my spouse visa...i never been bak to NZ aftr dat...i havent heard anything from ndvo yet...if u do not enter that country again u dont need to get a latest one even if it is more than a year....,,,,so i dnt need a new one or i have to?????

U need a new one since the one u submitted was old than 5 months...so u can get one now and send it to them...then this new one will not expire for sure...

Is it so that only foreign trips exceeding six months has to be informed/disclosed

Then pray to God....because ur passport will have the entry and exit stamps and in case if they counter check ur passport against ur file..They could ask for an explanation and then u can say "Sorry" and tell them that it happened by mistake...and this might lengthen ur process.

if that travel was done within the last 5years or i dono exact period of history you must report it for sure...this information will be part of your background history form...please list the address or countries u visitied "X" years prior to this application date...so if your travel is bfore that period you dont need to worry...if within the period as other memebrs mentioned give them explanation and say its missed out..
