tried writing to them several times mumble.... no use,
app filed - march 29th, sent the passport by july, its gonna be almost 6months now...
i'm ready to wait more but not without knowing the reason.

Yes, I am an august applicant too
They kept our passport from September..but there was some movement in December - that file went into process

your timeline is pretty impressive...August applicant and already In Process

@ ragi...dont to visit NDVO..no queries are entertained...i was there for some work at the counselar services and thought of making a query...they send you to the immigration side where they will tell you that they do not entertain such queries .....
in short visting is just a waste of time....

Check your mail thoroughly, including Spam and Trash folder..
PPR comes to the mail ID of Principal Applicant..

Recently my friend found it in SPAM folder and it was dated 16th Oct.. She has recently sent her PP..

But along with the mail, CIC website will also be updated right? Why should we always depend on mail?

When did you submit your application and when did they ask for your passport...is it in process...

I see from the history of posts that there is no consistency. For some it will be quick..for some it will be lagged...Maybe coz the docs along with proof differ for every applicant.

Was just going through old post of other threads...for some they ask for passport and in 10 days u get visa...WOW...that was in 2010

we applied agust 22,2012 and passport request was for oct15 2012 and no action after that....whats ur time line..

August 23 2012 but passport request came on 6th Nov 2012... Hope will see some change in CIC site to boost up our morale

Hey is your file 'In Process'? I can understand. I am in the same boat too. I am not calling him here as we want to save the holidays for the time when I come there. Its going crazy.

Hey just read your last posts. suggest order GCMS notes. It will help. Also contact MP. Its been too long for you.

and the address for communication must be canada's residence?

I am sharing my timelines as below ;

Documents submitted for dependent open WP Visa - 24sept 2012
MR from CHC Delhi --- 1st Nov 2012
Medicals done --- 5th Nov 2012
Medicals submitted to CHC delhi -- 7th Nov 2012

still visa status is under processing in VFS site

anyone having the same status ... really worried now

Hey samen, you need to be in Canada to apply or your sponsor can order GCMS notes for you. there are 2 forms you need to download, you need to sign one consent form authorizing your spouse to get information about your case from CIC.

Step by step:


Print off IMM 5563 (05-2012) E - Access to Information and Personal Information Request
Section A:
1. Access to Information Act
2. English/French (your choice)
3. Email (fastest way)
4. No (because you do not live in Canada you cannot request on your own, your spouse will have to officially request for you)

Section B:
This section is for you to fill out.
Family Name (Last Name)
Given Name(s) (First Name/Middle Name)
DOB
Electronic Files - Status of an Appliacation - File Number (you would get this from the AOR or Approval, ours started with an 'F') - Location (in your case its New Delhi, India)
DO NOT fille out the Immigratrion File in Canada section or the next section down that says Physical File

Section C:
This section your spouse that lives in Canada will fill out:
Tick the box "this request is usbmitted by a Canadian Citizian or PR"
Mr. Mrs. Ms
Family Name (Last Name)
Given Name(s) (First Name/Middle Name)
Full Address
Phone Number
Email
Requesters Signature: your spouse to sign and date

NOW:

Print off IMM 5475(12-2004) E - Authoriy to Release Personal Information To A Designated Individual
Choose One:
Tick off the first box "i authorize"
Questions 1-4 are for you, the principal applicant to fill out
1. Family Name and Given Name
2. DOB
3. Name of Office:New Delhi, India Location of Office: New Delhi, India
4. File Number or Client ID

Questions 5-6 are for your spouse, the Canadian citizian or PR to fill out
5. Family Name and Given Name
6. Address, Phone and Email (make sure to use the same email that you provided when you first submitted the application)

7. Principal Applicant to sign and date/Sponsor to sign and date

Pay the $5 online, print the receipt and fill it out with your sponsors information and email all 4 pages.

fill the forms out and then scan them and emailed them, the email address is at the bottom of form IMM-5563
