We talked whole night and she is sleeping now and its already noon in India....And guess what i am watching our wedding movie.

I can so much relate to what you feel. Just hang in there. It will be over this month end.


My hubby has been assigned a particularly stressful project. We hardly get any time to talk.
Here where Bollywood comes to rescue. I spend my day watching ill-executed eye candies, keeps my mind off things.

guys , my wife applied on 4 april, she send her passport on 8 august. don't know whats happening, i have lost all my patience if they want to call her for interview that atleast they should call her instead of just making us wait, its first marriage for both of us, same age, only love marriage, she is christain and i am hindu, hope god helps us and everyone waiting for visa

I am in the same boat dear.....I applied on april 10th and i sent my passport on 13th Aug. and still waiting for my visa......
I also have straight forward case .....but don't know why they are delaying too much....

Hi rsmeet,

Even my wife is a Hindu and am a christian...ours is a love marriage, she got converted to Christianity and we had a proper roman catholic wedding... her parents came to India to attend the wedding ceremony...we submitted all the proofs..

I guess NDVO double checks applicants who have got married like us to confirm that the marriage is genuine... thats why it is taking a time.

Even I don't feel like checking ecas or this forum, but keep checking it every 30 min. My husband has asked me not to see the status at all to keep me out of depression.
When cic??? Six months already. At least some reason for delay. Will miss my husband a lot on his bday next week .
I hope all the feb, march and April applicants get their visas soon.

Hi;

We received the passport request from NewDelhi VO. Have few concerns

1) How long would the VO hold the passport? Applicant has got a travelling job and long time passport hold might affect his job? Any solution to this problem?

2) Once the passport request is made, how long can the passport despatch be delayed?? Along with the PR processing, applicant is also trying for an internal transfer (still to get an answer from the company). So wondering it would be better to wait and hear from company about internal transfer as obtaining work visa might be quicker than Passport stamping?

3) Is sending passport cross country illegal? Applicant in Singapore and VO is NewDelhi. Any idea of how to tackle the problem. Making a trip to India for passport submission is costly, any other option?

First of all, no one can predict nething bout NDVO processing times...just depends on case to case...

You can write them an email/fax saying that you are currently unable to submit your passport due to travelling and request them to send you a 2nd Passport request. Pls note that this may delay the process by few weeks....if lucky minimum by only 2-3 weeks.

Though in my case they did not reply to my email of 2nd PPR, so i was pretty stressed for a while....but my file began processing from 19th Sept....then they called around 25th Sept asking for passport....i dont even think they read the email i sent them as they were clueless when my dad told them im travelling out of the country...

So basically you can never predict how NDVO will respond...just make sure you send them email+fax...n dont always expect a reply.

And most importantly...if you are back in India before a 2nd PPR n able to spare your PP, dont wait for their mail...just send your passport with a cover letter explaining everything...you will save delay.

good news guys Decision has been made... i got ppr on aug 28.. pp was sent on Sept 15 reached at ND office on Sept 17.. they start processing application on October 1, 2012.. thanks every one for great help.. special thanks to all senior members for their feedback also thanks to spreadsheet organizer..

Seriously its getting harder now to wait. Its been 6 weeks since they have my pp and more than 5 months after applying for PR. What the hell is going on? A simple straightforward case it taking too much time. God, why trying our patience??

Hi AD_12, I m wating for my 2nd PPR. My timeline is shown on the left.

Well, I m travelling to India next week. Can I send my passport right away without the ND request?

but when NDVO will work on my applications... I got PP request on Aug 1 and sent my PP on Aug 6 what is happening with my files?....it is making worried a lot...
